Peter KThe Uhaul website messed up and let me set a reservation for 10am when Norcal doesnt open till 10:30am. Not the locations fault, other then that he helped me as soon as he arrived and was friendly and informative.
JONAH INot particularly friendly. There was no parking in the street so I parked in front of the U-Haul office. But then a mechanic from the shop next door told me to move the truck or the U-Haul owner would yell at me. I tried to explain that there was no parking on the street. He chuckled and said it was the owners parking spot that I had taken and so he would yell at me. I checked out at quick as I could and never met the owner. Not sure what I was supposed to do.
Kevin SThe actual location was clean, as far as being “inviting” I would have to say No because the drop off point was at the end of the road of privately owned business buildings prior a private only dirt road to feel comfortable about leaving the truck unattended
Alfredo SWe had requested equipment that was missing on pick up. The truck was dirty - cigarette ash/candy inside and dirty windows that were hard to see out of. With the truck in that shape it did not seem suitable for 24/7 mobile pick up.
Brian SThe bed of the truck was full of soil and dirt from the last customer. I also had rented moving blankets and a moving dolly, only to find on the day of arrival and picking up the truck, that neither were there. I would have appreciated a warning in advance that the rental equipment I reserved would not be there.
Kevin MImprove the instructions for after hours return. The instruction said to return the truck "on the lot" assuming that meant in the lot but there was a gate. As I started to open the gate someone from the business nearby told me to return it on the street. There was barely enough room to park it on the street.

However I had a reservation for a van at another location, but when I arrived the vehicle wasn't available because uhaul on line had extended the prior renters contract, not honoring my reservation. I had to find another pickup site & put me behind schedule by 1 1/2 hours. Not good

Gary KI found the self-pick up really confusing. I don't believe this is the fault of this Uhaul location specifically, but I wish Uhaul had sent better communication about how I should pick up the truck and what to expect. The generic confirmation email led to confusion, but the general support folks on the phone were very helpful. Additionally, the location was hard to find and behind a gate. There was a weird written comment on the front door of the location which was off-putting.

Paul wMy dolly and mattress pads were not in the truck like I had ordered, and mobile check in process needed to be attended to by the contact I was given in an email. After calling the person and leaving a voicemail, she called back and I was told she was on vacation. I worked it out, but it would have been much better if I could have just picked it up from the closer location that was open, which is what I requested.

dorothy uLocation was closed when I dropped off the keys on the weekend. No obvious drop box noticed, just to drop them in a mail slot in their front door (which was several dozen yards behind a closed off fenced parking lot)
Lawrence LNobody was present when I dropped off the uhaul when they weren't supposed to be closed until 5pm. I dropped off the uhaul and key in the drop box at 4:45pm.
nick aWe went first to preferred location on Rollins Road and were told we had to go to this Marsten location. I never was called, but got text and email saying "per our contact" to go here. No one contacted me. Poor customer service again. We won't use Uhaul again.

Tamara KI have rented uHauls many times in the past, and because I dont know many truck renting companies, have always dreaded having to go through the process of uHaul. But my experience with Rob from Norcal was great! He was very friendly and knowlegeable! I would definitely recommend his business to friends.

CHRISTOPHER BWhen I originally signed up for a Van and a Dolly, the first location I chose had both available. When I happened to look at my reservation # a few days before pick-up, I saw that the original location did NOT have the dolly available. So I had to change locations. If I had not by chance checked my order, I would not have known my location needed to be changed because the equipment was not available. I should have been notified, that's my only complaint...

shane hWhen I ordered the truck online I was supposed to pick it up about a mile from the move. Instead I had to drive 20 miles south to Burlingame to pick it up. Not very convenient.
MICHAEL VIt's a pretty messy environment for a business office, but the staff is fairly efficient. Printer didn't work, so I did not have a contract.

HAOSI CMake sure that the people that work for your company or represent your company in the outside rental locations, have good customer service. I had the worst experience with UHAUL, I will never rent form you ever again. I will make sure to inform every person I know about the bad service that was given to me. Also, I am still waiting for someone to contact me since Saturday. I was told that I would get a call with in 48 hours. Today is Tuesday and that is more than 48 hours. You are the worst moving company ever. I know lots of people in different areas, and I will make sure to pass the word around.
