The overall experience was disappointing. The check-in process took approximately 15–20 minutes, which is a significant amount of time when you’re moving and working with limited time and help. There were only two vehicles available, and both appeared dirty. The vehicle I received looked like it had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. The windshield had layers of dirt and grime on it, and even using the windshield wipers did not make it safe enough to see through. We actually had to use our own water bottles and scrub the windshield before we could drive away. The cargo area also had clearly not been swept or cleaned after the previous renter. There was leftover garbage, dirt, dust, and residue throughout the back. I understand this is rental moving equipment and I’m not expecting a spotless vehicle, but I do expect it to be reasonably clean, maintained, and safe to drive when it is handed over to the next customer. This was not the level of quality or preparation I expected from U-Haul.

It was ok. But the lock box was kind of difficult to open and was on the other side of a building to where the truck was parked but the associate named TU was really nice and helpful and provided me his number in case we had any problems. Overall it was pretty straightforward.
