Not only would I not recommend this location but I believe I am owed at least a partial refund as the equipment provided to me was not what I agreed to pay for when I made the reservation. To make the situation even worse I was not able to fully communicate my needs or issues as the staff only spoke 100% Spanish and I hardly speak any. I had to call my girlfriend to meet me at the location as she is fluent in Spanish. Had she not been available I would have not been able to communicate AT ALL nor would I have understood any of the instruction necessary during the entire check out and check back in process. It was terribly uncomfortable signing paperwork and agreeing to additional services when my understanding of the content was based on someone else’s ability to translate. This is not uncommon in Miami but should 100% be visible on the UHaul Website. In addition to the language issue, when I reported the issue with the rental when I returned it, the associate told me there was nothing they could do and to report the problem to UHaul. Below is the issue I had with the rental truck 1 - the fuel level listed on the paperwork the associated asked me to sign BEFORE they gave me the truck was 7/8. The actual level in the vehicle was well below 1/4. Luckily I received a text from UHaul for a link to conduct and submit the inspection myself. (A VERY positive feature and experience of my rental - I really liked that service). I documented the level and submitted a photo and returned the vehicle with the same level of fuel. I was not charged for additional fuel so ultimately no harm. But again, being asked in a language I do not understand, to put my signature on a document before even being issued the equipment was extremely nerve racking. 2- upon getting a better look into the floor and upper area of the truck bed, it was clear it had not been cleaned. I signed off that the truck was clean but there was a sticky substance on the floor and upper storage area and it was dirty. Not dirty enough to notice when doing a visionary inspection upon check in but dirty enough to transfer my possessions. While ultimately I inspected the vehicle upon check in, it was clear that the staff does not do a thorough job of inspecting upon return. When I returned the vehicle there was zero inspection done with me prior to them charging my card. 3rd - this is most important and the reason I expect compensation. When I inspected the vehicle upon check in I zoomed in on the photos of the vehicle to ensure all the details of damaged I noticed where indicated. I submitted as all good before I entered the drivers seat. Before taking off I noticed the driver mirror was equipped with shrink wrap and tape at the base of mirror arm. Luckily I was able to reaccess the link sent to me by UHaul and I document this as well as took a photo. As suspect as the “fix” looked, I drove off assuming that the fix must be effective considering how critical a functioning drivers s

The rental price may be low, but the charge per mile is extremely ridiculous. $1.19 per mile is just way too high. That my friends is highway robbery...pun intended.

I did the express check-in the night before, and they still asked me all the same questions and wanted our IDs and everything. And the truck had not been serviced. The front left turn signal was out and they had no other trucks that size available and offered no help for it. I can only hope that I don't get a ticket in the mail for it!

Some dirt/crumbs on the floor truck. Remote check in was easy and quick. I ordered a dolly, and was not in truck when I picked up. We needed to come back for it when the location was open.

Location of Nuevo Mundo at 40th street is wrong in google maps, also the phone number seems to not work either. Once you are there service is perfect and the store is pretty nice. Thank You U-haul for your service it was very helpful

They opened late. I made my reservation at 9am and they opened about 20mins late. To make matters worst, the van I reserved I was under the impression it was the one with high ceiling. I turned out it wasn't so I had to make two trips and ended up paying more than necessary.

Reserved truck was "not available" but it was parked in the back, rented truck had trash from previous customer and spilled paint in the cargo area. Do not recommend.

I have never had so many issues using a place. First to start with I had asked for a dolly and didn’t receive it or was told when I confirmed that there wasn’t one available. When I got to the place they confirmed the truck and told me the key has issues turning on. Last when I deliver the truck back at 6:30 they said the system was already closed and it closed at 6 pm I said that they told me on Saturday that it was going to be until Sunday at the time of check in not 6 pm. Then they said I was going to be charged an addition day. I grab my phone to contact Uhaul and within 5 mins they decided to override the system. The lady said she was going to charge me the total amount and I told her that uhaul already charge me the pre cost on Saturday. Then she said I will only charge you the left over charge. I didn’t understand why she didn’t know how to do her job. I will never go to that location again. Then she made me go take a picture of the miles instead of her walking over there to look for her self. Service truly was horrible. Wasted 15 mins arguing with her that I was told 24 hours and then another ten going to take a picture and arguing over the bill. It was a nightmare.

Truck had a problem with the key to start the engine was not able to complete my task because of it and because I had to return the vehicle before he 9 am the next morning due a reservation. The key start in the vehicle would not turn over pet getting stuck

Your customer support phone line is a DISASTER. I had an outstanding issue from a previous move, the ladies at the pickup location gave me a number to resolve that issue. The person I spoke with on the phone was an embarrassment. Not only was she not helpful but she was extremely slow and wasted an hour of my time. She sounded like she just rolled out of bed or like she was high in heroine. I could not believe the type of service I was getting, I work customer support/service and this person sounded like her job was the last thing she wanted to do. I don't know if you guys allow your phone support to work from home but it is extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

The location from which I rented your truck is extremely unprofessional and your organization should disassociate themselves from Nuevo Mundo immediately. They did not inform me that they did not handled U-Haul transaction after 7 P.M. When I attempted to return the truck at 7:13, they refused to take it back. I told them I would not take it because then I would be charged for driving it further and for another day. Their response was "not our problem." I had to stand there and bicker with them about their lack of profesionalism until they finally agreed to take the truck back. By some "miracle," the U-Haul program was still working after 7! This place of business handles multiple things, from cell-phone services to western unions and calling cards, which makes it so handling U-Haul business is almost an inconvenience to them. In addition to all of this, not a single person at this establishment spoke English. I understand it is Miami and thankfully I am multilingual, but that is simply unprofessional.

Customer Service skills are definitely lacking. I went completely unacknowledged while the ladies held personal conversations and finally decided to tend to my business, which was then conducted with little interest while they engaged in more personal conversation. Although i am bilingual i like to conduct anything having to do with purchases of products or services in English, something which these ladies seemed to be incapable or unable to do. The van was disgustinly FILTHY, garbage and used tissues in the cab as well as garbage and debris in the cargo portion of the van. Although the contract said that the truck was turned over to me with a Full tank of gas it was NOT. When i expressed concern about the condition of the truck before taking the truck i was told that i purchased the insurance so it didnt matter. Not worth going to this location when there is another location on 92nd and Bird at Frankies Pizza

none of the people at this location spoke English. we went over our miles because i10 was closed due to flooding and we had to go through the middle of Louisiana and Mississippi to get to Florida. Would have liked to explain that to the people at this location, but none of them spoke English. They were friendly enough, but come on!

Uhaul truck has leak drivers side windshield over steering wheel in cabin (it is raining) also had a hole in back of truck where we will be putting wood bedroom furniture and mattress. Location had no other truck to offer and we needed to get stuff out of storage by tonight. Reason we rented a uhaul was to protect furniture from rain and would like to request a refund according to a uhaul representative I spoke to by name of barb.

The customer service representatives were nice but unprofessional. No mileage, nor fuel level checks were completed before the truck was rented to me. The company's phone does not work and it was imposible to contact them. Uhaul said they had a 24 hour drop off, but when I showed up to drop the truck off after hours, there was no box and had to leave the keys under the van's seat.

Business opened late for 9am pick up. Requested furniture dolly not available. Truck dirty in cab and engine running hot. This location is not best location to choose with uhaul equipment. Seems like uhaul is add on to their eclectic business offerings.
