I go to thrat place yearly with my Sthil string trimmer & they are very helpful. What I did not like was getting the van 3/4 full of fuel & then to return it I'm standing outside it w. the engine off & have eno idea when I hit that mark...until the nozzel pops & I have filled the van completely. And can't get a credit towards my next rent period....I'm moving slowely between locations. I also rented in Highfield Park Dartmouth & loved the new Ford van (at least it seemed brand new it was so immaculate & had a backup video screen on the dash) so much I wanted to buy one the following week. And all the guys inside and outside were very friendly and helpful & quick to get me into the vehicle.

Jochen SI had a reservation for 8am on a Monday and was supposed to pick up via contactless pickup. When I arrived at 8, I tried to check in on the app but was met with a prompt saying that my equipment wasn’t available and to call the 1-800 number. So I did and found out that my vehicles was probably ready but I just had to go inside the OCR to get the key. I went inside and waited at an empty counter for 10 minutes before one of the employees acknowledged me. So I explained the confusion with the app and how I wasn’t sure of the van was actually available or not to which the employee replied in a very agitated state. I was rudely informed that OCR Ia closed on Sundays and doesn’t not open until 8am on Mondays so therefore they cannot have the van ready by 8. This was a little confusing also since this location in advertised as a 24/7 rental location. I even had the option to book at all hours of the morning, so it leaves me wondering what would have happened had a booked for 7am or earlier? I actually asked the employee why they offered pick up for 8am then if they are adamant about being unable to provide that but she just ignored me. When I finally got the keys, I asked the empire where to find the van because I noticed multiple outside and she responded by pointing and telling me “out there”. So after I went and found the vehicle on my own I had to do a walk through on my own to “agree” to the rental (I documented the damage, mileage, and gas level prior to me leaving since I wasn’t provided with any of that information). While I was doing this, I noticed that the drivers side window was cracked a couple of inches. It has poured rain over the weekend, and sure enough the inside of the cab was soaked. The floorboards, the dash, the door, and especially the seat. The back of my pants were soaked by the time I got to where I was heading that day. It was an awful experience from start to finish. I’ve never had a problem with UHUAL or their customer service in the past. I’m not quite sure why this location (which is a franchised location) is so nasty. I’m new to the area and when I shared my experience with neighbors and coworkers, I was told that this location is known for the awful way they treat people. I will certainly never go back. And after being yelled at, disregarded, and soaking wet, I feel like I was taken advantage of/ robbed of my money.

ELIZABETH AAddress mentioned in Uhaul app was different than where my truck was parked . There was no mobile connectivity and internet at the location it was hassle to do mobile pick up steps.
Tanuj SThe staff member was friendly however the truck rented was filthy inside. The truck was old and beat up. The steering had a lot of play in it, the transmission didn’t shift properly, the drivers door hinges are worn out causing it to make noise over bumps etc etc.

PETER AU-Haul reset my original pick up location and the staff there were very rude and unprofessional. I was sent to another location which was not where I reserved. The 2nd location were very helpful and apologized for the treatment at the first location. My reservation quote tripled. Not a happy customer unfortunately

I don’t like that I have to give a rating on a location that I did not step foot in the door or talk to anyone. This review is not going to be helpful to anyone! So I give a good review just so the poor people that work there don’t get a bad review even though we had no interaction….. this is the only thing I would change.
JOSHUA HThe address provided is not where the trucks are located. This is also on a road with limited/no cellphone reception. I had to drive 10 minutes into the opposite direction to get service to call the facility to find out that i should have continued driving approximately 4km up the road. This inconvenience cost me 25 minutes. The vans alignment is slightly off, which makes driving an unfamiliar vehicle in poor weather a rather unpleasant experience. In addition to that while the bed/back of the van was clean enough. The front had a layer of dirt/film on the dash and other places indicating it was not properly sanitized in quite some time. The facility that the uhaul desk was in is a nice store and the girl at the desk was lovely.
BRIANNE SI was ask to change to a difference vehicle and it did not accommodate my move so it was frustrating and much longer than it should have taken. Was told cargo van would hold a double bed but didn’t realize that was all it would hold and difficult to get I. The cargo van Garbage in door of truck and floor was dirty Something dripping from under neath
KATHERINE MNever pick up a truck on a Sunday. Make sure you have data on your phone as there is no wifi in the area. Paid for 24 packing blankets they were not in the truck. First and last experience with U-haul.

HEATHER JThe other location for U-Haul outlet (HighStreet, Bridgewaterr) had terrible service. A friend tried to use their services at High Street but the service rep said the system was down. A month later I go and try to use the same location service but was told by representative that the computer was down. I found that suspicious. I went to Oakhill location and had excellent service.

Margaret EThe address for this site is WRONG! i drove there and its a self storage, not where the trailers are kept. They are a half mile down the road at a quad dealership. Correct your information! Trailer lights were a little glitchy but got them to work after playing with the plug. There were new tires on trailer, it was clean. Person attending me was not very experienced, had problems getting the wheel jack to fold.
J DI called uhaul and told them what I needed and they advised me to get this specific trailer because it was 6 feet wide. The trailer is indeed 6 feet wide but the back of the trailer has metal bars hidden behind the ramp that make the opening NOT 6 feet wide. I called and spoke to 3 people about my issue because A. You guys recommended something that was not adequate. B. I drove 30 minutes in the opposite direction of where I needed to go because this is where the only trailer available was, and then an additional hour and a half in the other direction to pick up what I purchased only for the trailer that YOU recommended not be sufficient. C. I called your head office for help with no success so I had to drive an hour and a half to drop off the useless trailer because I wasn't allowed to drop it off at a closer location without a $400 wrong location fee. D. I had to leave my $15k item in good faith in a driveway until I could find something to haul it home with because you guys told me incorrect information. Your head office was suppose to call me back "I'm a couple minutes" to open a customer action which they never called me. So my entire day and experience with uhaul was horrible and then hoped head office didn't have enough respect to call back when one of your workers told me to open this customer action. This is poor customer service at its finest. I will buy a pair of oxen before I ever rent something from uhaul ever again

Seth LWhen I picked up my rental there was a couple cardboard boxes opened and layed flat on the floor. When I dropped off the trailer I took everything and left the trailer just as I picked it up. Not happy that the drop off location charged me 20 because it wasn't cleaned and I will be fighting it

CARRIE TRented the vehicle near to where I was moving, Duncan called and offered a vehicle in Truro and Bridge water, so I had to call my son to confirm, called back and staffs, Olivia, Mathew, Eric, were very unprofessional, (rude) and Mathew handed up on me, and Eric said they were in Toronto and the Manager, Stephan, I believe, when I explained the push around I was getting, he kept saying he wasn't there and he don't know what went on, all your calls says it's recorded, l would have loved for the Manager to take accountability for the poor customer service including the Manager, it took more than 4 hours for the Manager to get back to me, it was a hot mess, it shouldn't be this difficult after people is already stressed in the moving process, and to be clear this issue was with the schedulers

Andrew NThe U Haul organization needs to have better service for the Atlantic provinces and have better policies for communication and documentation. Receiving multiple, conflicting calls and having reservations cancelled and changed weeks after being made is not good business. Don’t recommend.
Ilse HI was charged an additional $80.39 for a trailer I rented and returned within 4 hours. I still haven’t received the refund I was promised. This location has no cell reception with bell, and so it’s impossible to approve the pictures of damages on the rental without driving off the premises.
