I was charged a $30 cleaning fee out of my hundred dollar deposit when I did not use the U-Haul to move anything besides a large picture so what it needed to be clean for I’m not sure. I have made multiple phone calls and left multiple messages to find out the details of this fee and why it was charged and have heard nothing back. I was also charged a $40 fee for an extra day when it was returned on December 10 as the contract stated. And again, I have made multiple phone calls and left multiple messages to get details about why this fee was charged and have still not gotten a response. I was only returned $24 out of my hundred dollar deposit which was ridiculous.

GINGER GEquipment was clean but not well maintained. When we got to our destination and went to unload. Most of our stuff was wet. The truck leaks from halfway to the back door. Had to unload items that were in boxes because the boxes we so soaked they fell apart. When we mentioned it to the drop off location, nothing was done. I felt that I should have been given a refund for the mess and inconvenience that happened as a result to the truck leaking.

GUY SThis location was convenient and the staff was helpful, however there was confusion caused when the U-haul system could not find a drop-off location at my destination even though there are several in the town I was destined for. I was given a phone number to call when I arrived at my drop-off town, but then as I was traveling I received several text messages one of which gave me an assigned drop-off location, one which I would not have chosen had I been given the opportunity since there are at least 2 other locations closer to me. This as well as texts requesting me to be specific about when I would drop off the trailer I had rented. This was frustrating since I had been required to rent the trailer for 5 days when I only needed it for 2 days. These text messages all required me to download the U-haul app and gave me no other options for contacting anyone or giving me opportunity to give the requested information. To improve for the next customer, let the customer choose the length of rental and the drop-off location, and give us contact phone numbers or a website to use instead of requiring us to download another app especially one that will not be used often enough to make it worth while to have on our phones.
