My preferred location for pick up was switched by Uhaul. I wanted an In person pickup but had to do it through the app. When I went inside for assistance, the man had zero customer service skills, there was a language barrier, and all he could do was point to the app and say call “the number”. After downloading the app, locating the key was a pain. The instructions said “sid3 of building” which wasn’t specific enough for finding the key. Went in for assistance again and he pointed at the app. We called customer service and the key wasn’t even on “sid3 of building”. It was in the truck where we had to call to find that out plus for the worded code to unlock the lock. Not to mention, the uploading of pictures part was a pain! It took us over an hour to finally get inside the truck. We’ve used Uhaul multiple times without any issues but this time was a disappointment. We spent too much money to be disappointed. The Uhaul customer service agents whom I had to call were great and the drop off went fine. It’s ok not to run everything through an app. Some of us, young and old, still appreciate a good, old fashioned in person/ at the counter service.
