This review is regarding U-Haul as a company, not the particular location. I initially ordered a 20’ truck at a location near my house. I was contacted by U-Haul and told the only truck in the area was 26’ (which was much more difficult to fit at my storage location) and it was at a different location. I accepted the change order. When I went to pick up the truck, the location did not have the appliance dolly I had ordered. After a lengthy phone call with U-Haul, I was told the nearest location that had one was in the next city over but they would not answer the phone to confirm. After a 40 minute round trip to check, still no appliance dolly. I ended up having to drive to another location (1 hour round trip) to get the appliance dolly. Once there, I found that they had roughly 10 appliance dollies. Strange how one location can have so many when no nearby location has any at all. Also, very interesting how this location had a 20’ truck that I initially requested, but that was never mentioned to me. On top of all of that, I was charged extra for a utility dolly and six moving blankets that I never received, nor requested. On a side note, the truck I received seemed to have issues with the brakes, and either transmission or suspension problems. It was an awful ride. Overall, it seems like U-Haul needs to get their shit together.
