Rondell LCheck in was very slow (over 30 minutes) and while I had changed my pick up time via a call to the 1-800 number the check in agent could not figure out how to check me in. Then I was asked for a THIRD telephone number; you had mine, my wife’s as back up and you need a third??? The agent was really very nice and tried hard but not fully trained! I will also dispute the gas charge in a separate communication! The truck was immaculate and performed well. Would I recommend this location….maybe!

Benson BThis location of pick up was fine. My issues are with Uhaul as a company and their integrity to honor contracts. I was offered to use the "Load Share" program which involved going 1 hour out of my way on my path to pick up a trailer in Wilmington NC and deliver to Durham NC. My offer was $350 credit on my bill. I honored this agreement by showing up to pick up the trailer in Wilmington, where I spent an hour of my time while Uhaul tried to find it. Ultimately they determined it was lost and not at the site, and then they proceeded to say they would not pay me the credit even though it was completely their issue. I argued and escalated many times, and finally at least got $250, but turns out all it cost for them to never have a customer again, as well as any friends this customer has, is $100.....

PAUL OUhaul was return on time and the still trying to charge me. I not sure why it was not check in when I returned and still trying to chame 200 dollars. They are sorry whoever was working the day of March 2nd Tuesday to be exact
armelia tThe original pick up location at Split Stop Gordon 2161 Gordon Hwy did not have keys for my confirmed reservation. The truck was there. Obviously the operator doesn't care about his uhaul business. Fortunately I was able to secure a 26ft truck at Wrightsboro and continue our move as planned.
Mark SWhen I got driving and it became dark, the inside of the windshield was quite dirty and impaired my vision considerably. The pick up location provided very little information.
Michael DThe lady at the counter was pleasant when I checked my truck out. The interior lights didn't work in my truck or in the back of the truck . They tried to mess me over when I returned the vehicle. So I won't use this location again.
Pamela SI had to drop-off on a Sunday in the middle of pouring rain. This location is just a few blocks from where we now live so it was very convenient. There was ample room to park the truck and the drop-off box for the keys was very accessible. I would use this location for both rentals or drop-off in the future.
JOHN DI was never told that I needed to put gas in it when using less than 40 miles. I was told that if I went over 40 miles I would be charged by the mile. After my 299 special which was actually $80, I received another $28 fuel charge. So in total over $100 for vehicle that's advertised as $29.99. I asked for the 1999 because I only had a few things to move in a short place to move them but I was told that truck had things that didn't work properly and I didn't want to rent that one. 4 days after I returned the vehicle on the same day that it was rented, I received a voicemail which I still have asking me when I was going to return the vehicle which sent me into a panic attack. After I called they said oh never mind we have the vehicle. I'm just not very happy with this experience.

Kathy HUHaul transferred my reservation to PCW Appliance, 1309 Hwy 501, Myrtle Beach,SC because of equipment availability. Had to wait 40 minutes for rep to show up to get the truck, since truck rental is not this facility's primary function.. annoying!
STEPHEN ETerrible location. Truck was dirty and she screwed up my drop off location which caused a huge hassle at drop off. Also did not have any pads.

Perry AThis is likely one of the worst customer experiences I have had. First, there was no one there to assist with my return. (And you changed the return location for me to go to this place that was far less convenient than closer locations to the unloading.) The lady that was there stated she didn't know anything about U Haul - she was just answering the phone - and she didn't know if the lady that handled the UHaul would be back. I asked her to call the owner of the establishment - she refused to do so. I simply wanted the truck checked in to be relieved of any further liability. That didn't happen. And she stated she didn't like my attitude - I am the customer asking to be treated as if being the customer means something. If you are going to allow franchisees to operate in this manner, WOW!!! And inconvenience the customer as much as possible - WOW!!! Next stop YELP. Eventually perhaps the message that customers deserve to be treated as such will rise to be heard by upper management at the company.

frank sThey wanted to charge a deposit because my bank card was coming up as a prepaid. I always use this card and was never charged a deposit. They were closed at 6:45 and there location states 8pm. They clerk did not advise us of this early closure.

Dylan GThe truck I picked up had a check engine light on that the location said was never there. The air would come on when ever it wanted and shut off too. The truck was dirty had a miss in the motor and I had to fill it up 3 times which is crazy when a full tank is suppose to get you 400 miles and I was only traveling a little over 600. U haul is going to owe me money back I have receipts for all the gas during the move.. please the air was a big factor when it was 90 degrees that day …

Gary GWhen arriving late at night we took a Lyft to pickup the truck from the airport. I started the pickup process and when I got the key from lockbox I tried to open the truck and it was the wrong key. While I was on hold for U Haul an employee pulled in and called the person in charge of the rentals and she said over the phone there was nothing she could do and that we just had to cancel the reservation and find somewhere else to get a truck. We just flew halfway across the country and were told basically oh well. We didn’t have another car we were relying on this truck so we had to get another Lyft and get a ride back to our condo and when speaking to a U haul rep she said I could go back the next day to get the key which I did. When speaking to the lady that was supposed to put the key in the box she stated there was a snake by the boxes and that is why she didn’t put it in. Now wouldn’t you let the person know that is renting after hours know that the key is not in there so we dont have to figure out what to do at 11pm in a town we are.m not familiar with? I spent almost the same about of money in Lyfts getting there and back a total of 3 Lyfts just to get the truck. Really not good customer service. Just didn’t seem like they cared.

I am 76-years old and I haven't moved in 20-years and I'm a Handicapped Widow now and didn't know that I had accumulated sooo much stuff...and from the beginning, they helped me get signed up to make reservations...then, they followed up next day when I called for help with "Mover Helpers Guys"...Well, I would've given up, if they hadn't been Sooo Patient, Kind and Helpful...and You'll be very Happy 😊 like me!
