The check engine light was illuminated during the entire rental, although the truck was fully driveable. I had rented from the same location last month and was issued the same truck. I mentioned it to the manager who told me that Uhaul was aware of the indicator but that it should not affect my rental experience. This is the reason why I answered NO to the question about equipment being clean and well-maintained.

Jeremy JWhen having trucks at these mobile sites it would be great if they were inspected better before renting them out. The truck the I rented the fuel fill hose wasn’t connected to the gas tank so when I attempted to put fuel in the truck it spilled all over the ground and myself. Then I had to wait almost 2 1/2 hours for the roadside person to get to where I was parked.
David WThe gas was so low that the warning light was on. My contract said I would be required to return the truck with a quarter tank, and that my bill would be credited, but the listed credit amount is nowhere close to the cost of a quarter tank for that vehicle. It’s also pretty frustrating to get in the rental and realize you immediately have to get gas.
Sally TMaybe have a sign on the outside that has a link to the app with the words "No need to contact employee at this location" I was there, and 3 others came in asked about how to get the equipment. The employee was friendly and helpful even gave me the number to call to due the app not working.
Mitchell DI spent 78.00 filling the tank day I got it. They never responded I drove 60 miles, filled up again 20.63. Uhaul owes me 78.00 I spent 1 1/2 hours trying to get help getting the key. That owner of that shell….hung up on me twice.

I notified the agent and was told that this was a known issue, that it should not pose a safety issue during the rental. Although technically he was correct, it was disconcerting and the light stayed on throughout the two-day rental. When I was returning the vehicle I also saw another warning message on the dash, something about the traction control needing to be checked.

Keith SThis is not a Uhaul center to purchase moving materials etc, but an approved and convenient Drop-off location/gas station. It has limited hrs for customer service, but everything is done self-service style through the app and with a Dropbox for the key. Would choose this location again

Kina QBooked a 15 foot U-Haul just for U-Haul to call me the day before my reservation stating they didn't have the 15-foot truck available; I ended out getting the 10-foot truck. That was whatever, however, upon confirming that I was going to get the 10-foot truck they moved my 9 PM after hours appointment to 9 AM for some unknown reason; I then went to pick up the truck and the place I was supposed to pick up from didn't allow after-hour pickups. I had to then call support and they re-directed me to get the truck 8 miles away.

ILEANA VThe gas gauge was busted so I overpaid the refill and the drop off at the Pacifica location was confusing and dishonest, requiring an app that didn’t work on my phone to properly return the vehicle. Operational hours were not stated on the website. The brakes were super sketchy also, and ramp barely worked, getting stuck almost back in making it difficult to close the back door. Never renting from UHaul again!

David WFor app based pick-up and drop off, cell signal (or wifi) is critical. Attendants at the business had no familiarity with the U haul process and weak cell signal for At&T and T mobile. Cell signal strength is not a Uhaul responsibility, but it becomes less indirect with a business model that requires diverting the responsibility of the transaction to the customer. There was very limited signage on the building directing the Uhaul customers, which is required in situations where connectivity is also limited.

Brando FPick up took longer than expected. Vehicle was dirty. The back area was dirty with dirt. We wiped it but was pretty filthy. The cabs floor mat was dirty as well.

Chris APlease clearly state on the website (where you have us make reservations for the trucks) weather or not there is a ramp available. It's not clear and when I picked up the van, there's was NO RAMP!! it made moving a fully loaded 500 lb tool box even harder to move. I accepted it anyway as I had no choice and no other options. My tool box removal was made more difficult as a result.
kirsten uI received good guidance (on the phone) from the person behind this UHaul business; she sent me the links that had instructions re: how to pick up my van and how to return it. Also, when I visited the site to see where I was going to pick up the van, the clerk in the store was also very helpful. Thanks for a good experience, everyone. I would recommend your UHaul business to others.
Constance MI ran into an issue, probably rare, but there was no cellular service at this location when I picked up and dropped off the van. That made it impossible to check in and return the vehicle from the app. I had to drive away from the location to call support. They were very helpful but it would be great to have an alternative method to pickup/return the vehicle without being in teh exact location.

I think it should be emphasized that this is a remote location without a live person work with Moving is super stressful and I hired people by the hour to come with me. I spent a large amount of time on the phone trying to get set up and return done while they were waiting so it ended up costing me lots of money just for waste of time. My suggestion would be a follow up after reservation call or maybe large font in the response email for reservation to be aware. This is not Live pick up place. Also, the gas cap was open and hanging. It should probably have a lot of some sort. Again the person that worked here was very nice and very kind, however, it was beyond his control. I wish U-Haul would compensate me a little bit for the wages. I paid the people to move. It was an extra 1 1/2 or more between the phone calls and being on hold to sort this out. Minor issue - no backup beep. [Actually, this worked perfectly for us. We loaded the truck at a preschool during afternoon nap time, and everyone was glad that we didn't wake the kids up!] Complaint: The UHaul App [NOT a complaint about this location!] The UHaul app requires that your default browser must have Location permission ON when you open the UHaul app. IF your default browser's location permission is OFF, you won't be able to follow the pickup or dropoff procedures in the app. For most people, your default browser's location permission will be ON by default, so you won't have a problem (except that a lot of people will know exactly where you are). IF you've turned your default browser's Location permission OFF, definitely turn it ON before your pickup or dropoff. It'll be a time-saver.

Joseph SI was able to get a truck fast which is what I needed. It took FOREVER to deal with the online rental process and there is no person to help. I will always choose going inside and having someone help me vs. using the online system. The entire online rental system was a total pain!
