This review is not only about the pickup location, but also about U-Haul in general. First of all, the location for the pickup of the truck was at a business which was not marked as such, at all. When we called and figured out where it was, it turned out to be a Vape shop, with no signage whatsoever. We were told by the person at the shop, that they plan on stopping the U-Haul rentals, so they took the sign down. They still had trucks in their back lot, so why not wait until you are actually done renting them out, before you take the signage down? Secondly, U-Haul. The last 3 or 4 times we rented from them, we picked the location that was closest to our house. And every time, they call and proceed to tell me that the truck I reserved at that location is not available. They DO have what I want at a different location, that is 10 miles (or more) away. Not really a huge deal, but they expect the customer to pay for the extra milage. I needed a truck to move a small trailer from my driveway, to the back of my house. What was going to cost me about $40, was now over $70. I'm honestly surprised their hasn't been a class action lawsuit filed against them for this crap. But, I wouldn't have had to rent from them, so there's that. The fact that they have "rent me for $19.95" plastered all over their trucks, is so misleading. You can't even get out of the parking lot for $20. The reason I go with U-Haul at all, is because l, at first, they are the cheapest option. But, I've found that in the end, they are the same, if not more expensive than any other truck rental company.

Staff was unable to provide a receipt when I turned in the truck. It took several days before I got an email receipt and when I did it said I turned in the truck a day later than I actually turned it in. It didn't add any additional expense, so I let it slide.

The staff was professional, and the truck drive very well. We went from Crystal RIver, Florida and ended in Northern Atlanta, GA. The entire trip, we were without a left turn signal on the driver's rear side. This we did not notice until 50 minutes into our trip, we were stopped by a state tropper, and we received no citation or warning, but he reiterated to us how unsafe this was. We did not know where to turn - my wife did drive her car behind me and worked with me upon making left turns. Driving into Atlanta was a challenge to make sure I did not cause an unsafe situation. It was tough and stressful. Upon returning the vehicle, I spoke with a young lady named Rhianna, and I had her come to the vehicle to verify this, and she was quite surprised. It is apparent that the vehicle was not inspected at the pickup location, or it would not have been missed. There is no reason to have send this vehicle out without this signal light - a basic.. We feel there should be some credit given to us for this situation - it should not have happened. Thanks - Kevin

It took one and a half hours and four phone calls to finally get the truck keys. I had done everything online but was told I had to get the app and do everything again on that app. All I was told that I needed was a code to get the keys. Finally after that 1 1/2 hours I finally got the code and was able to access the truck. The people at the location didn’t know anything that would help me since it is a fairly new product for them and they were no able to get ahold of the person who was responsible for the location. Horrible experience.
