Melisa QI specifically declined any additional insurance coverage on my initial application and also in person at the rental office. Yet on my final statement, I was charged $15.00 for "SAFE MOVE" coverage. In reading the small print in the contract, SAFE MOVE is listed as "OPTIONAL" and covers the cargo. I was simply moving some patio furniture from one local home to another. The explanation given to me by the rental clerk was its an automatic charge from U-Haul because of the value of the cargo van I was using. Having used U-Haul many times over the years moving kids in and out of college, I can tell you I've never heard of this. On the positive side, this location was very helpful and accommodating as I needed the rental on a day they were closed.

EVELYN GBiggest FRAUD! I rented a U-Haul on Saturday, planning to return it on Sunday but managed to return it early on the same day. When I went to pick it up, my discount magically disappeared, and I was charged more than the regular listed price. The employee claimed it was a "safety deposit" that would be refunded. Not only did I never get the refund or a correct charge, but I was charged double. Customer service allegedly tried to call the location, but surprise, no one answered—even though their posted hours said they were open. U-Haul and this location are running a scam. Be aware!
Radhika MThe truck was mechanically fine but quite dirty which prevented from a clear view through windows and windshield. Windshield can be taken care of with Wipers but the other windows were too dirty with the side view mirrors

ANA MThis is the second time they charged me for gas, when I pumped 2 gallons at the nearby Arco. I have the receipt for it too. The first time, I called them, and they refunded. This time, I'm just too tired to deal with it.
