The vehicle did not come with a dolly. If I hadn't checked, I would have left without one. When I inquired about this, I was told this was because they didn't have a standard dolly, so I opted for an appliance dolly instead. This should have been communicated ahead of time.Siyao L.
The location was not open when I dropped off truck at 730 am so I packed truck on side of building with 2 other trucks. I get a call 7 hours later at 1 pm asking when I was dropping the truck off that was so back at 8 am. There was only 3 trucks in the whole lot. I told the caller dropped off truck at 730. Unit was mostly clean. We rented at the last minute so it could have used vacuumed. I had issues uploading my license.. so there mast have been a system delay. But overall I'm happy with the process and the staff that helped usDAVID M.

It was easy to find. The person in charge was great, but the guy that he had come out to hook it up to my truck, well - he really wasn't thorough. Ihe had the chains hanging to low, as well as the wire so close to the ground it would drag. I went back over it and fixed the chains and wires properly. He was super nice, but didn't really know how. Also, I am extremely lucky to not to have had a flat tire - the lug nuts on 2 of the wheels were just a chunk of rust like they had never been off. Other than those issues, the trailer worked perfectly. I would liked to have had some sort of walk around for the trailer before and after I took it and brought it back because there were a couple small dents in the fender before I left but nobody said a word about checking it out, so I made my own video walk around of it just in case. There was damage to my vehicle. I placed the reservation over a week before the pickup day of Uhaul equipment (truck and auto transport). The Uhaul rep had me pick up equipment from a different location than from where I had my storage unit which was a Hardware and Liquor store. The Uhaul Stor-Room in Woodhaven didn't have anyone to help with the auto transport. So the Uhaul rep sent me to a Hardware and Liquor store where they didn't even provide me with guide for my vehicle. So that's how my vehicle got damaged cause the driver can't see the ramps and needs a guide but they failed to provide a guide so that's how my vehicle got damaged. My front bumper is damaged and need to look underneath the vehicle to see where else it got damaged other than bumper. Uhaul waits until the day of my first moving day to tell me I got to go pick up from a different location other than where I have my Uhaul storage unit at. They sent me to place where it's a liquor store for Uhaul pickup and the guys there helped hook up the auto transport but they basically said they can't help with the vehicle cause of insurance purposes. So I got no guide and that was ultimately the reason it got stuck and caused damage and I had to have the tow company come help me get it loose by using some wood and some jacks. Cause my vehicle got stuck where my front bumper was caught on the back of the auto transport trailer. The vehicle got stuck. I have 4 witness. I have the 2 guys who worked in the store at the pickup location plus the 2 tow company workers Kevin and Tyler from Lyons Towing. Lyons Towing phone number 734-676-6333. The Uhaul representative at the drop off location on Tamiami Trail in Sarasota said to call the corporate office phone number 1800-Go-Uhaul after I explained all what happened. I explained to him how my bumper got damaged and how it got stuck. They provided me with no guide for the van to drive onto the auto transport. They provided no help cause they said because of insurance purposes or something. But now cause of that they need to reimburse me for the damages after I get an estimate to repair my front bumper and any other damages. Probably going to need to replace at least the front tires also. Patio Market & Hardware which is the pickup location of truck and auto transport. So they sent me to Patio Market and Hardware in Rockwood, MI with phone number 734-379-3500. Katie was the representative I talked to from Uhaul that sent me to Patio Hardware and Market which was a liquor store. So how does renting from Uhaul and alcohol have to do with each other? It's doesn't make sense why Uhaul partners with a liquor store. The service in Woodhaven and scheduling was not good especially after I made the appointment over a week in advance and then they send me to a different location to get truck and auto transport. The Uhaul in Woodhaven didn't have any men working there. It's only 2 women working at the Uhaul storage place so you wonder why you don't get good service cause men understand that it should be run by men. Men can do the work and help you guide the vehicle onto the trailer. So good service in Sarasota at both the storage unit and Uhaul but no good at the place in Rockwood by the staff there. When you put women in these positions they usually don't make wise decisions cause they are just running the operations but when a customer needs help with anything their is no men there to help so that's why when you call Uhaul make sure your talking to a qualified person cause one person might be well more trained than another. Women shouldn't be running a Uhaul storage unit by themselves. They should have men working there. So the damage to my front bumper could of been prevented if they would of guided me but because they made excuses on why they couldn't help with the vehicle now Uhaul is responsible for covering the damages to my vehicle. So how the process usually works is I go to a body shop and get an estimate on the repair and replacement job and then Uhaul sends a check to me to cover the costs of repairs. Good service in Sarasota but the exact opposite in Michigan. Why did the lady wait until the day of my move to tell me they had to send me to a new location to pickup truck and auto transport? Why did they send me to a liquor store? I made the reservation over a week before and they said they would have someone to help with the auto transport but that wasn't true. There is no way for the driver to physically see the ramps and what's going on under the vehicle so you must provide a guide. The Uhaul in Sarasota had a guy to help guide my vehicle off the auto transport and he unhooked the auto transport from the truck so why did the Uhaul not have that service available after I made the reservation over a week before and asked them if they could provide help with the auto transport. And that includes helping someone guide your vehicle onto the trailer. So ultimately it was just bad customer service in Michigan at both the Uhaul Stor-Room in Woodhaven and the pickup location which was a liquor store and Katie who tells me the day of the move that I got a new pickup location. The service was excellent at the storage location and the Uhaul drop off in Florida. So you can't make any excuses on why they didn't do their job. They did it in Florida well. So why couldn't they do it after I specifically asked for assistance with auto transport. That excuse was not true. He could have helped me guide my vehicle on the auto transport but he didn't. The Uhaul in Sarasota did help guide my vehicle and no issues. So because you send me to a liquor store you get bad customer service and they just make excuses so I need Uhaul corporate to please reimburse for my damaged vehicle. Plus I have 4 witnesses and a receipt for the towing company that shows proof they helped me get my vehicle loose from auto transport.DAVID MARK N.

Brakes were shot and rotors are warped. Truck was clean I'll say that but I called and explained truck was suppose to be returned but I was sick and my brother didn't return it for me. I was charged 1800 dollars for rental for a few days?!?!!??? What the hell kind of 19.95 a day shit is that. I want my money back I'm super pissed and will not use your services again if it's that outrageous I can buy a truck and trailer for that much.... I can not express how seem less and easy it was to rent from this place. They had the truck warmed up for me and the snow cleared off. They were very polite and helped me out with everything I needed. Even went over all the equipment with me showing me how to use it all and where it was located. The truck I used had a bad battery. Resulting in a terrible experience. I am waiting for the charge to take place then I need to call in for a reimbursement for the two days I had to keep the truck for due to logistics. Overall uhaul is great and I will always recommend, unfortunately this experience was just awful. I feel in these situations it should be handled much differently than it was handled. I shouldn't be charged then have to turn around and ask for a refund due to vehicle downtime, something beyond my control. However I also understand.Andrew D.
I do not care for UHaul's policy of taking a photo of my driver's license. Very insecure and a bit unnerving when the counter guy at the party store/Uhaul store whips out his personal cell phone and snaps a pic of my driver's license. He says it is going to be sent to the Uhaul site only. Maybe so but there has to be a better way. Just doesn't seem right or secure to me. But, all is well and they were very fast and accommodating.
