There were severe issues with the uhaul website not allowing us to complete pick up. The pickup process took over an hour and eventually the clerk had to override the system. This system error led us to be late for our elevator slot and be late for our new key pickup. The customer service rep at this location was very helpful and pleasant. The process was a disaster and very negatively impacted our move.Taylor E.
This location was identified as a 24hr drop off yet there was no dropoff box anywhere along the fence surrounding the property. Waiting 39 minutes until customer service could help me. Ended up leaving the key in the truck and leaving as per their instructions.Jason P.

I was not handed a printed bill. I was told to take any of the trailers I wanted. Also, I was charged a cleaning tax for no reason It was a motorcycle trailer.It was not dirty at all.I was given no assitance on hooking up or testing of the trailer lighting or operation.RAY L.

There is something messed up with that trailer even though I tightened the screw down bolt to sit on the hitch ball, The trailer was loose and jumping all the way on the twirler receiver ball. What a nightmare. Trailer seems old and worn out. The one good thing, it was clean.Pawel S.
The safety chains are connected with stainless steel threaded links which I think are not legal in Ontario. The lights did not work properly. The tailgate was rigged with additional chains that also used threaded links. The attendant was very nice but offered no help in hooking or unhooking. Had to unhook in a puddle of water.Rick D.

The location on my Online reservation did not have the trailer. The location that had the trailer did not have the wire harness. The location that had the wire harness could not fix the error on my bill. Could not return to a closer location without extreme extra cost. Going to look elsewhere next time. If you have not refunded the unasked for insurance...GORDON M.
I was over charged on my bill. They charged me $64 for "coverage" which I assume is insurance. I have all the insurance I need...i don't need extra coverage. Please remove this from my bill. Thanks, DanDAN S.

An unsatisfactory experience. First the pick-up location changed 2 days before pick-up, forcing to rework plans. The equipment which was reserved online weeks ahead was not available and the representative was not helpful, just saying to call uhaul. The truck's tire was very low and the pick-up location did not have an air compressor. Spent 30 minutes on the phone with uhaul having to explain the issue to 3 different people and being constantly put on hold. Was told to drive to another location to pick up a dolly that was ordered, having to waste more time, fuel and miles. Called the Mississauga head office in hopes of some kind of compensation for the significant inconvenience and was told by the representative he could not do anything for me. Was told the manager is busy and would call me back when he had time which did not happen. Overall, very poor service.Pavel R.
No assistance offered by location to hook up the rental trailer to my vehicle, poor customer experience. The trailer rented looked very old. Lots of prior scratches and repairs evident. The decals were all faded and scratched up. Not a good equipment representation for UHaul. I had to pressure wash the inside of the unit myself to clean up before loading up my luggage into it. Tire pressure was low with one of the tires. I should not have to check this myself. Overall, the sport trailer is a great concept, renting from Uhaul was not! Very disappointing experience. Furthermore, at time if booking and pickup, I am disappointed that no one explained to me about the additional $80 insurance for $5k coverage, is this mandatory or could I have opted to this charge? We booked a 27ft truck about 3.5 weeks ahead of our move. My boyfriend and I were moving in together, I from Etobicoke and he from Brampton , to Bolton, so we needed a large truck that we could pickup near my place and drop off near our new place in Bolton. 36 hours before our date of moving, I got a call from Uhaul saying they didn't have a truck for this reservation and we would have to go pick up and drop off in AURORA on the date of our move!!! This would be insanely inconvenient and unfair. After some pushback from us, Uhaul reps were able to somewhat help us by finding a truck closer in Missisauga to also be returned to that location, but it was a 17 foot truck. Everything pretty much worked out but we hardly fit into that smaller truck and had to leave some furniture behind which was disappointing. Uhaul tried their best to help us out but it would have been better if they had better logistics planning and avoided this mess in the first place. We hired "Best Movers" company to help us move and they were AMAZING!!! I would recommend 100% and will hire them again for our move.Joel E.
This was not the location I had selected so was annoyed at having to go out of my way to this very out of the way location. There is no U-Haul signage of any kind, just a couple of trucks parked out front. The furniture pads I had ordered were not there as they don't have them. I supposed on the plus side there were no other customers to delay me. Would have been much better if you'd sent the truck over to the proper U-Haul location originally selected and/or offer something for having me go out of my way.Robert P.
Dealer did not let me know about the safemove insurance fee and also didn't tell me that if I brought the vehicle back an hour late, there would be a $60 fee. Horrible service, horrible experience. Will not use again.Chaoqun W.
Your pricing is sneaky and unclear. You advertise a price, but then an almost impossible to waive insurance, an unclear rental period for the price (one would assume per day, not per 6 hours). Tell me a price straight up and I'm OK with it, but my rental went from 29.95 to 108 to 129 for a 15 foot truck for 6 hours and 12 minutes. Feels like I got scammed. Tell me a price and time frame and let me decide, but quadrupling the price with unexpected, unadvertised, hidden fees is not cool. I will be looking elsewhere for any future moves.Max M.
The call centre Rep was horrible. Please hire staff that enjoy their job. He was not helpful at all and I had to ask him to repeat himself several times, he sounded annoyed and he remained silent at times or gave me one word answers when asking him a question that I was not satisfied with. Rented a trailer to tow my bike. Tie down straps were not provided and I think they should. Trailer wireing was inadequate as it can't reach car, needed extension to buy in order to safely use trailer. During the online reservation it was recommended to do online check in and save time at pick up. Did so but regardless went through all again at the location. I did get the job done but if you really care about your customers please improve these.Branimir P.

they try and over charge if you don't bring back the truck during business hours. they will tell you to have a 30$ service fee if its not paid within 2 business days sneaky crooks over at this location they put in the wrong Kilometers on purposeAKEEM H.

The back of the van was dirty and the whole thing smelled like a barn. There was feathers and dirt which took some time to sweep out before we could load our furniture and other belongings in. This should have been done before we arrived, especially since we made online reservations. Not a good location for people looking to transport matresses, clothing and furniture.Renee H.

The trailers' wiring harnesses, both of them on site, were extremely short and in sub par condition. The pa dscapi g place i rented from didn't have work g extensions either. I had to sit around for 30 mins for a friend to show up with magnetic lights, which were a major pain as the kept falling off when the trailer wasn't loaded down Very very poor, especially for something as important as legal issues on the road.RICHARD C.

This was the second Uhaul dealer I went to. I had a reservation at another location, the owner of that location gave our reserved van to another customer. The men at this location were polite and very helpful, however, I will probably not use Uhaul againmicheal K.
I rented a 5 x 8 trailer. The trailer hitch coupler is getting loose resulting in extreme rattling at the ball and coupler. It felt like I should have had a 2 1/4" ball, and the trailer was going to pop off at any moment..andy G.

Uhaul is far superior to other options of vehicle rental. The staff have a much more hands on way of assistance. The cost, the ease of pick up and drop off is so much better than all the other rental companies.. Big thumbs up.. Highly recommended.Paul C.
Signage at the location - the only way we knew that U-Haul was to be picked up at this location was the signage not the actual U-Haul vans. Thank you but overall a great experience we were quickly processed - no issues at all.Christine C.

My complaints are not based on the location, but on the U Haul service. I was told the location opened at 10am. I waited until this time to pick up the vehicle to find out the location was open at 9am. Really unimpressed as I was pressed for time picking up the vehicle at 10am. Also really unhappy that I booked the truck almost a month in advance and set my pick up location to the U Haul location next to me. Next thing I know, you have me driving out to Mississauga to pick it up. Just seems like poor planning. Also unsure of the cost being over $100.00 when your rates are advertised for $19.95 in town for the day. The people working at the actual location for pick up were great - no complaints there.Sandra M.

This is not a U-Haul but a used vehicle sales centre. I was told u-Haul will email me my receipt but never did get one. Rented the truck to move furniture for my business -- Shangri-La Exotic Home Decor -- and therefore need the receipt. Appreciate if one can be emailed to me ASAP. When I drove up it was hard to determine if I was even at a U haul location. There was no place to park so I parked the Uhaul around the back. I gave over the keys and asked if they needed to inspect anything. They said they didn't and I told then were it was left and said it was OK. Then I got a call last week on July 19th,13 days days after dropping off the U haul and the person on the line said that I still had the U Haul!! I was shocked and then the p[erson on the phone explained that the contract wasn't completed and that they would now follow up. I have now received my confirmation receipt that all is ok and complete. I am releived but not too impressed with this location.TERESA P.
The owner was not there and left no instructions with the employee that was there. We did come over 1/2 an hour late and technically the place was closed but with the employee not knowing how to complete the transaction we left with the car dolly and a debit receipt for $70 as the only proof that we had the dolly. There was no contract drawn up and in the end the amount I paid was under by $2.45. The employee that help us was polite and apologetic for not knowing much about what to do.ANGELA S.
