The place was closed due to an HVAC issue. They did not communicate with me or UHAUL about how I was supposed to get my key. I talked to 3 different people in 3 different departments for over an hour and 20 minutes to try to get my key. It was pouring rain and no one knew anything. Finally another customer came and got the other truck and my key was in the same lock box so he let me get my key out. No one knew how to get my key. But I was charged and showed I had the truck even though I still didnt have a key.

JAMES BWas there about an hour and they did not know the code to the lock on the back. We were in a hurry to get the truck and load it to drive 2 hours to our new place so this really set us back considering we couldn’t pick it up til noon at the earliest and they are busy serving lunch.
ASHLEY DChecking the truck out was a nightmare. We weren't sent any kind of "code" and the person at the counter (this is a restaurant) had no idea how to check out the truck. We had to call customer service (and were on hold for awhile), then the customer service person (who was very nice) had to figure out what we needed to do next, which was to try numerous combinations on the lock to open the truck. Once we finally figured that out, we had to take a bunch of pictures (which was fine except that it took up more time to take the pictures). It literally took us almost an hour from the time we got to the rental place, until we could actually drive the truck. I think I prefer using an actual UHaul location with a person.
BRANDY LMy original pick up and drop off location was changed due to the facility not having the truck. I was told the $50 guarantee would be added to my account but it was not. Super disappointed I had to pay extra mileage because the location I chose didn’t have the equipment after online it says it was available. I feel I should not be responsible for the extra miles seeing it was a U-Haul issue.
