The truck was dirty inside, there was a headlight out on trucks high beam, and check engine light was on. The location was supposed to be open at 8:00am, and my reservation was at 8:00, but owner did not show up until 8:02 to open location. Even though I had checked in online, it was still 8:45 before I was able to get going. The online inspection had pictures of the wrong truck, so I had to take all new pictures. The truck itself had 148000 plus miles on it, so I was worried it could break down at any moment. At the end of the day we got moved, but the uhaul experience added another layer of aggravation I didn't need.David M.
THE TRUCK WAS INFESTED WITH BABY, EGG CARRYING ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, AND I HAVE DONE A LOT OF MOVING w/UHAUL OVER THESE 51 YEARS. I NEEDED TO USE UHAUL TO MOVE ITEMS FOR A BABY SHOWER! I WAS WORKING. I AM AN EVENT PLANNER. THE FIRST THING THAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY WAS I WENT TO PICK UP MY UHAUL THAT I HAD RESERVED, AND THE LOCATION WAS CLOSED. THE NATURE OF MY RESERVATION HAD CHANGED, AND UHAUL DID NOT NOTIFY ME BEFORE HAND. MY EVENT SETUP STARTED AT 12, BUT I HAD TO PICK UP FOOD!!!! BY 11:30!. I could not put FOOD that I was about to serve in that UHAUL. So, we sprayed and sprayed and sprayed. Those ROACHES dropped, but they didn't die. I did not have time to go buy a can of roach spray!!!! I had to pick up FOOD at 11:30 and start set up for my event at 12:00. So. We sprayed and stomped and packed things away from the walls so ROACHES would not fall on or on my totes. My TV broke!!! When the load shifted my TV Moved and cracked because I could not properly pack my things next to the wall. At the end of my event, a teeenie, tiny baby ROACH crawled out of one of my containers. Luckily, no one else saw!!!! My son said that when he opened THE RUSTY HARD TO OPEN HATCH AFTER MY EVENT, ROACHES SCATTERED!!!!! After all that spraying and stomping, ROACHES STILL SCATTERED!!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY, I UNLOADED ALL MY TOTES TO MY PORCH BECAUSE I DONT WANT EGG CARRYING BABY ROACHES IN MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want my money back, and I want compensation for my TV. I could not play my video presentation during my event!!!!!!!! I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE! That truck is not indicative of UHAULS brand. The truck itself was a disaster. It was missing its front passenger side blinker, the driver's side bright headlight was out, there were scrapes all down the side of it, and the cab and the van was extremely dirty. When I returned the truck, I filled the gas up to the same amount that was in it when I got it, at 5/8 of a tank. They told me it was only filled up to 1/2 a tank. I went back to take a picture of the fuel gauge, and they still wouldn't believe me. All they had to do was walk out to the truck and look at it themselves. While I was attempting to return the truck, the cashier kept interrupting my process to take orders for their gas station. It was an overall disappointing experience.Nicholas R.

this was the second place i had to go because smart phone pick up method would not work and no one at location to help. talked to 5 representatives before resolved.Steve F.
The gear shifter in the truck did not work and while the staff at Pjm was kind and prompt I had a one way that I was told to return to Pjm by the staff which cost me 50 extra miles... the whole rental experience was a total nightmare! I have rented with uhaul many many times but after this go round I will go elsewhere.Sarah K.

The reservation system is terrible. I started at AAA Private Self Storage. They said I had a truck for the next day but we would need to pick it up at Prime Auto Exchange Location. Because of past problems I drove to Prime Auto and found they did not and would not have a truck. Helpful folks at Prime Auto told me a truck would be available for me at PJM Food store but it was not there yet. I drove to PJM at 9:00, saw the truck, and the manager confirmed it was for me. All's well that ends well but without my extra effort I would have been frustrated and delayed the morning if the move. I found a half-smoked cigar in the drink holder that caused a strong smell in the cab.david M.
Hard to understand the lady at times. She was trying to check out customers while trying to rent the uhaul to me and another gentleman. Took bout 45 min to an hour to the trailer reserved for 12 noon didn't get it til 1richard E.

old truck. beat up. many stickers. plastic part of right front fender had to be held on with bungy cord. 107k miles. different location 15 miles from original. no car dolly. had to go to original location for car dolly. truck needed to be swept out. 1 pack of pads plus 4 individual instead of 10 packs. 1 utility dolly instead of 2. ask for more pads but had no more and tried to say i had 10 pads at $5 each. right.Terence H.
Get the transmission fixed in truck. Also I needed a small truck and had to settle for a 26 foot truck and I called letting them know I was running 10 min late because of transmission problems in u haul and was charged an additional 98.00 overall not happyBENJAMIN K.
