Door was locked, called the number listed for U-Haul for it to go to voicemail. Some random guy answered the door and then disappeared for 25 mins. Seemed to have no idea how do to anything U-Haul related. Finally called a guy and put us on speaker phone. Don't offer us a service if a) there is nobody there for a reservation and b) knows what they are doing.

My rental was late. I was sent across town to another location that didn't know what was happening and no one spoke English well enough to resolve the situation. I ended up going back to the first location for the van that was returned late. It was filthy and smelled bad from cologne. The previous renter did not refill the gas tank so when I refilled, I ended up paying for his gas of $50. In the past I have rented many times from Enterprise, Discount and Value Rentals and have never had this kind of bad service. I know that anyone reading this won't care, but there's my rant. Will I use U-Haul again? Only if I'm desperate. Someone needs to review how customers are treated.

There was garbage left from the last customer and this location did not have a public garbage can, nor did the locations I used it in, so there was nowhere to clean it up to.

I feel like as if I was dealing with a con artist, they didn’t allow me to inter the office for check out, I had to wait outside for 30 minutes & checked out by a phone call, till I was given the keys, my biggest surprise is to find out that I’m being over charged on my bill, claiming that I drove the truck for 172km while I used it for under 40km.

I would recommend this location the truck drove absolutely perfect. It was really good on gas and it was very it was probably the best truck I’ve ever driven with U-Haul and I’ve been a U-Haul customer for 40 years so I must say it was very excellent service thank you very much.

Bad service. Dropped of the key and got a call telling me the key is not there. Get another call asking me where the key was ! The manager had taken the key out of the dropbox without telling anyone !!! Got charged for 100 km while I only drove the vehicle for 30 km !! The tank was not full when I picked the vehicle up ! Will never use again !!!

Disappointing and Frustrating Experience I recently had a terrible experience with U-Haul on Brock (Planet athlete). I arrived at the location where several U-Haul vehicles were parked, and a building labeled “Service,” yet there were no staff members in sight. Instead, a taped-up sign instructed me to download the U-Haul app to get my vehicle. The app was incredibly slow, and the verification code took forever to come through. After struggling with the app, I called their support line, only to find out that the larger vehicle I reserved wasn’t available—even though it let me book it the day before. I ended up being stuck with a smaller cargo van, which forced me to make two trips, doubling the cost due to their steep $1/km fee. It took a frustrating 45 minutes to get the reservation sorted over the phone with their 1-800 number, causing me to be late and still without the vehicle I originally booked. On top of that, the vehicle I picked up wasn’t even full of gas as it should’ve been. I returned it with the same half-tank, but there was a dispute about whether it should’ve been full. The worst part is how they lure you in with the “$19 rental” signs. My 8-hour rental ended up costing ten times that, not to mention the hours wasted dealing with customer service during pickup and drop-off. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with U-Haul and would not recommend them. This experience was far more expensive and stressful than it needed to be.

We booked for 7:30pm, but the truck was not there. We had to wait till 8.30pm before booking an alternative for a higher rate to make the move. They said they will not charge extra for the alternative, but eventually they did. Very disappointing experience 👎🏼

Your app sign up has issues and I could not create an account. Your one time codes won't validate either in the app or the web portal. Employee of uhaul location said other customers had similar issues. Also I didn't get a contract to be able to figure out how much to fill up based on the chart. Had to fill up 3 times to get it to the right gas level. Very frustrating for a company that wants to have online check-in and returns.

Have someone in the office at opening 8am. The office was locked up and a sign with a phone number was posted. When you call the number it goes to voice mail. This caused many issues and a major delay. When you have people waiting to help you move it is very disrespectful to the customer.

The location was 45 minutes from where I booked. Then when I get there no one was in the office. I finally find a piece of paper with a sharpie written note to call a number for assistance. I was told that the key was in a lock box. The lock was not locked. So had to drive an hour back to my old place to load up. I should not have to pay for that. The fuel was under a quarter tank so I had to put gas in it just to get home. . I’ve used UHaul a few times now and there is always an issue. I will never use your service and I’ll make sure to tell people how terrible your company is.

The rental was good the only issue I had was using the app. After entering all kinds of information it just told me to go inside to get the keys. If I'd know I had to go inside I wouldn't od wasted my time on my phone. All else was good and the staff was friendly.

15’ truck Vehicle license AM45555 needs a little maintenance While driving the vehicle pulls to the left, transmission doesn’t switch to next gear properly, driver front tire is bald and needs an alignement, windshields move but don’t clear the window very well of rain

nothing i can think of. The person greeting me and getting me setup was very good, told me what i needed to do, told me what to do when i came back, if no one was around to put the key in the key box. So everything was excellent.

we found several empty beverage bottles under the seats, we were sent an email with the total costs, so we charged the client that amount, later on in the day , we noticed a different higher amount charged to our credit card we will be making different arrangements going foward

It's a matter of degree. The back of the truck was not clean,per se, but was okay for the job. The visibility in the vans needs to be improved. There is a rear view camera, but I had zero visibility otherwise; the mirrors were not terribly helpful and I could not see out behind the cage. I've driven larger Uhaul trucks with more confidence, but this is all I needed this time.

I would like my 50$ credit please I requested the uhul to be 6pm the guy called me and said I couldn't have it till 7 I didn't get into the truck around 7:23pm ish I had to buy a huge tarp to cover the back of the uhul because it smell like damp urine very upset about this and will never rent from that location ever again

I paid an environmental fee for what it was paperless. The hole transactions paperless, so why would I get charged to fee? I booked for 9 o'clock in the morning. However, I got there at 20 mins to 9 am and I had to wait until 10 mins after 9 for someone to be present to take my information and give me a key for the van.

Truck was an absolute mess. It was old. Not sure why did the location alloted the old truck when they'd 3 similar trucks sitting idle (at morning when I picked up and the same 3 trucks standing as is in the evening during drop off). Very disappointed.

I was charged for a dolly that was not included in the vehicle. I had to call the customer service line for EVERYTHING in order to get the rental completed, it took over an hour and a half to get the vehicle. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had wth your company, and will never rent from a location like this again.

Everything was fine but the truck definitely has some mechanical problems such as the transmission is smoked and shifts hard an way too high and the U-Joints on the driveshaft sound like they’re going to blow out. It cost me $55.00 in gas to drive 134.8 kms! That’s not cool. Just letting you know that something is wrong with that truck.

When we showed up, the employee told us he couldn't find the key to the tru k we had reserved. After looking for a few minutes he came back and said he found the keys but the truck won't start. He offered to call another location to see if they had that size truck available (15ft). I told him we had people showing up at out house in 10 minutes to help us move so that wouldn't work. I asked what size they had available so we had to go with a 10ft truck. Because of that, instead of it only taking 2 trips to move our things, it took 4. That increased the amount of time it took us to move as well as the amount of kms we used. If you're going to rent equipment out that people are obviously needing at the time they requested, you need to make sure things are in working order prior. I have family moving in the next month and they have said they will not use this location after the issue we had.

Original website gave the impression that representative would be there between certain hours! Maybe more clear that this is completely online. And in fact we couldn't complete on line and called for assistance, that went perfect.

The 24/7 online pick-up/drop-off is convenient, but not during very cold weather, or any extreme weather in general. Having to use my mobile device in the cold weather with fingers exposed became very painful by the time I got my keys (these are the types of days I would wish there was a front desk check-in; at least you can be inside until the process is complete). Vehicles appear well maintained, as I didn't experience any problems with the driving (took some getting used to, as even a small van can feel like you're driving a large truck or bus). Cleanliness is about average, but considering what these trucks and vans are typically used for, it is pretty good. I did find a little bit of garbage in the driver's side door left behind from the last user (again, having a staffed office so that personnel can at least give the vehicles a quick vacuum and wipe would be helpful - not expecting Enterprise Rent-a-Car clean, but at least so you are not finding evidence of the next user).

I gave them 1 months notice and they decided to tell me the day before my booking that the location did not have my specified vehicle so I had to go to a different location. Was not told that new location was closed and had to switch to online check in. I have never had a good experience with U-Haul. Sadly they have a monopoly on the moving van business so I have no choice if I need to rent something.
