Found the woman there to be rude. Just my opinion. I had gotten a call earlier in the day from a New Orleans number asking me if I was going to return the truck on time. What I brought the truck back (16 hours early & a lot more fuel than it had at start) I asked the woman if I was going to be charged for the few miles over the given amount (which was not enough to make the trip) and she said yes. I told her that I should parked the truck down the road & bring it back at the contracted time, she then handed the keys back to me & said go ahead. I then called the New Orleans number and was told nobody called me from that number, & yes I was going to pay for the extra mileage.(it was only $3.20) the amount wasn't the problem, I just don't like being marginalized.John N.

When we did the pick up the contract stated 12:45 but an employee's car was blocking the truck so it was not given to us until 1:15. Then when we arrived to the moving place the floor was all wet and we had to mop and some of our boxes got wet. We then returned the truck the next day at 12:50 we were charged for two days even though we returned it on time. When we told the employee she said they would refund the money and so far they have not gotten back to us to do that.David P.

a woman handled everything. she could fix the issue. she told me, take it to the slidell and they will remove grease from my trucks adapter, I did as she asked. in slidell, the tech said the grease is normal and he did fix the turn signal that was not working on the left side PLUS I needed a new tire. the tire was almost ball and warned very uneven. PLUS the other 3 tires were very under inflated. I think you need to do something about that location before someone gets hurt on the road. in my opinion, I think the trailer was not inspected when it was returned. next time I will only do business the UHaul in slidell. they treat you w/respect!! PS:you need to call the UHaul in slidell on gause and I-10. AND the tech in slidell did a very good job!wayne S.

I picked Uhaul because the last time I moved, it was really affordable. This time however, my mileage changed from .69 cents a mile to .99 cents a mile. I was under the impression that it would be the same price. I will be considering a different carrier in Jan '17 when I move again. My overall price went from $130 to $171 for the exact same truck with only 15 miles difference. NOT HAPPY!!!!Shanda F.

Other than feeling VERY mislead by the price of the rental, which was NOT given to me by the place I picked up. The Internet said on the uhaul reservation website at the time of reservation that i would pay $125 LESS than what i actually walked out paying. I called a location closer to me but thry didnt have the size i needed but did book me with the one not too far out of my way. But the booking store also told me wrong. She said bc i was paying with cash, that it would be $100 deposit in addition to the $54.95 But that i would receive that back upon return of uhaul in same shape i received it. I am not complaining and i did happen to have an extra $100 on me, but when you walk in a place expecting to pay $54.95 and you are told your final price of $177 and change, yes thats a culture shock almost. But like i said, im not complaining and i was fortunate to have the extra, other than that it was a good experience, staff was courteous and professional, and i would use again and will recommend them out. We were supposed to pick up our trailer from the main U-Haul location in Slidell. We reserved it 3 days in advance and on the day we needed to pick it up they called and sent us to this location. The woman was pleasant but we really needed to pick it up at 7 and not 530, so that was inconvenient. The woman did not hook up the trailer for us. We prefer the main U-Haul location because they hook up the trailer and check that the lights are working. She came back out as we were leaving to do a visual check that the trailer was hooked up. She was nice when we dropped the trailer off the next evening.AARON J.

Ensure there are no ants in the trailer. The trailer was full of ants as it was parked under a tree. I swept up over 2 cups of dead ants after spraying. Still had ants in my houshold goods after move.KELLY M.
