We all know that moving can be difficult over at the Valley Stream location they treated me and helped me in a way that was so helpful and they made my whole experience very smooth. I would highly recommend Uhaul Valley Stream to anyone who asks and I’m thankful for everything they did for me

The Valley Stream office was a hole in the wall. The computers were very slow, it took forever to complete the transaction process. I paid the daily rate, but I was not allowed to keep the truck for 24 hours. I was told that I had to return it that same night. The Springfield Blvd location made the reservation for me to pick up in Valley Stream. I was told that I had to return the truck the same night and I could drop the key after hours. However, when I got to the Valley Stream location is when I was informed that if I used the after hours drop-off, I would be charged $20. That was news to me and I was not happy about it. The woman at the Valley Stream location eventually told me not to worry and that she would not charge me the after-hours drop-off fee (she told me this 3 times). I worked my ass off that evening to get all of my moving doneTHAT SAME NIGHT. I was unable to make it back before the office closed, but I took some solace in the fact that she repeatedly reassured me that she wouldn’t charge me the $20.00 fee. I got an email receipt this morning. Guess what? I was charged an additional $20.00 for being given the privilege of dropping the key through a damn mail slot. Never. Again.

It turns out I did not need the van for 4 days. The woman who helped me, I don’t know her name (sorry), helped in shortening my reservation and adding a future date. I know others had been waiting for a van so was happy to give it up but UHaul must get better with inventory. I have two reservations coming up and hope there are no issues.

The receptionist at this location is one of the most kind, friendly, patient and helpful person you'll ever meet. We were later to pick up our one way uhaul rental truck and she stayed in the office and waited for us after business hours. There were some misunderstanding about me picking up some items to transfer to my home but was canceled after we got to the pick up destination, causing us to return the truck to the pick up location in a few minutes after renting it.I call her told her the situation and she followed up on it allowing me to be refunded some of my payment. I will recommend this location in a second Thanks to you all.

The owner was late opening up and it was a tiny little office and a difficult to park/maneuver. The lady who worked with me renting the U-Haul though was lovely.

The wrote down the wrong mileage and charged me for 60 extra miles. When I called back, I couldn’t get anyone and they told me they would have to call me back. They were quick to take my money and took forever to resolve an issue where they owe me money.

i had to switch size and pickup time and they handled everything,was in out in less then 10 minutes on pickup and return,the staff was extremely helpful through the whole rental process.I would highly recommend renting from this location

The rental center had no tools to change my hitch ball and i had to purchase a new hitch ball and pay a gas station 10 dollars to install it. I spent an extra 85 dollars in autozone parts to get going. Then the tailight fell out because there were no screws holding it in. Took me two hours to finally get the tow dolly.

Pick up location was different then what was booked. Although Uhaul credited me the extra miles, it was a pain to have to drive an extra 20 minutes. The service was great at the location I picked up from.

Was told by clerk here that there was nothing on her system of vehicle being returned at this location and didn't want to call the Bronx. Was told I was a mile over and that I had returned the vehicle earlier than expected. I think I shouldn't be charged the extra mile charge since I did return it early to said location and truck was rented on the spot by a man who wanted a 10 ft truck.

This only issue was Uhaul changing pickup location. Big inconvenience. I figured booking this trailor months in advance Uhaul would have made an effort to have a trailor available. Then when I did receive a call for a different pickup location, only one location was made available. Very disappointed.

i made ,reservation @ 800# for brooklyn,ny to ft lauderdale oneway ended up having to go way outside brookly to pic up truck, inconvient,then you charging me over 3000.00 for a one way truck for 5 day that i only needed for 3day, its not fair,uhaul , to make a customer pay FOR days they dont need,,,i understand charging me for the 5 days if you needed to *BUT REFUND ME AT THE END OF MY TRIP WHAT I DONT USE***i picked up the truck on thur turned it in on sun**and you made 2 day of free money off me and others in same situation**I also had to get a transporter, pick that up on fri turned it in on sat overcharged me 4 days for that too,** i called to make a complaint but was only met with excuses**they justifing your stealing,,my complaint is with the overcharging,

Services were great except for I was told I used 11 miles when I only made maybe 6 mile trip and I got charged $22.10 to fill up the gas tank that was passed 3/4 of a tank there was no way it cost $22.10 to fill it up the rest of the way so I was being ripped off
