RICKY OWas charged 100$ cleaning fee when the U-Haul was dirty when I got it, was told I would receive a 15$ credit due to U-Haul having no gas when I received it, and I didn’t then charged for not filling the tank when it was empty from the beginning!!!!!!

joyce sI was charged at $50 cleaning fee. I was under no impression that there was anything out of place with the truck the cab was clean and the bed of the truck was clean. I did leave a pair of reading glasses in a case inside the truck on the dashboard. I cannot believe that it was charged $50 just because of that. I would love to know why I was assessed discharge nothing was mentioned in the rental agreement about the $50 cleaning fee so I don't see how it is Justified in adding it on with me having no say so in the matter at all. I'm waiting to hear back from you all regarding this issue

BEVAN WHave more trucks available. I got what I needed to get done but felt rushed. I got the truck at 2 pm and had to have it back by 6 pm. Overall they came through for me after having issues with CarLotz on W Wendover.

Alyssa LThe service man lied to me. Call me please at 336-255-9381. The contract stated 3/4 tank. When I got in truck it was 5/8 tank. Service man said they would reimburse if I filled tank. They didn’t.

Gregory CThe parking lot where the trailer was located is disastrous. Getting into and out of that area for pick up and drop off is annoying and it didn't help the gentleman there felt like he had to mansplain how to back up. Also, the office is super tiny and was crowded with 2 people just sitting there on their phones. I chose this location because I was hoping it would be faster than the one up the road. It was faster for check in, but that parking lot area could be better organized. On the positive, the trailer was new and pulled very well.

SCHENELL Si got charged $50 despite i cleaned the uhaul and i even left a $300 blanket and they never called me to come pick up my blanket. i need my $50 refund.
DANDY SCharles was extremely helpful. Being of a certain age i did not realize it was a no contact , download an app type of transaction. He was able to walk us through the process . As I refer to it ,,he was the eye in the sky talking from another location over a camera/microphone system.

RODGER HThe trailer was in poor condition with the electrical cord ending up ripping during our trip. It was a huge hassle hooking it up, the employee seemed to have no training or understanding to assist us. We ended up having to go to two different stores to buy two different parts, to find the trailer was not compatible with my vehicle, even though I had entered it when making the reservation. I called the pick up location 4 days before my pick up date to confirm that I had ordered the correct ball hitch, and they said yes. When I got there, the employee had no record of my purchase. This made an already stressful experience much worse.

LINDA PThe trailer tech that installed the car hauler trailer forgot to close the lock on the hitch. When I went to load the car, it came off and hit my tailgate and license plate causing damage. I took a picture and called them to confirm on their end that the picture they took showed the lock up or down. They apologized and admitted it was left unlocked. They started a claim and thats where I am with it.

Lonell MI have been a satisfied customer of U-Haul for decades, but I have NEVER had this type of experience before... EVER!!! These individuals are complete scam artists and I regret ever using this location for my drop off. I was told that everything was good to go at the counter, but later on, they tacked on a bunch of fees. Not only did they charge me $40 for and extra day, even though I dropped the truck off within 22 hrs, they charged me $15 for an added day of truck insurance, and a $35 cleaning fee for a clean vehicle. With taxes, that added $101 on top of the $187 one way rental fee, for a total of $287!!!! I can only imagine how many other individuals were scammed at this location. Never again!!!!!

JONAS MDon’t book vehicles to multiple people. I was first asked after arriving if I could make a different sized truck work because of this. I got the truck that I needed, but someone else may not have. This is a problem with UHaul’s procedures and does not reflect on the Gate City Blvd location, they were perfectly accommodating!

James DI considered the truck clean when I picked it up. When I returned it to U-Haul in Greensboro, NC they charged me a 25.00 cleaning fee. I don't understand why? I hauled clothing in the back, so nothing to clean, and I was the only passenger, and simply drove the truck, nothing was in the front, other than me. There were some spots on passenger seat, that I did not do, so I assumed they couldn't be removed, so I didn't attempt to clean the front seat, that I didn't sit on it. I turn on my computer, and see that I was charged a 25.00 cleaning charge!! I have rented U-Haul many, many times. If this is the way they plan to increase their profit, I will find another company going forward. Thank you! David R Tobin

Alexander SI picked up a car hauler and left the location around 415. I requested a 24 hour rental. I asked The guy about returning the equipment. Should I come back early and the staff may on lunch break. Charles told me to just park the trailer when I returned it and he would get it checked in. He asked me what time did I think I would be coming because his staff is in and out of the office. I said most likely between two and three. So despite me clearly saying I want a 24 hour rental, he put me down as returning the equipment by 2 PM. So when I got there at 4:30 PM, And they checked the trailer in at 5:09 he charged me for an additional day insurance and all. He also led me to believe that the insurance was included in the rental, and indeed it is not. That is a separate charge that is actually optional. Very bad business practices. I do not recommend anyone to do business with this location. I certainly will not be back there.
