I reserved a trailer in Casa Grande AZ for a pickup on Monday the 14th of April. I got a call late afternoon on the 13th of April that said they didn't have any trailers for me to pick up. I had reserved it for the 14th for five days one way. I had reserved it two weeks prior and called last week to make sure it was ok and to pick it up on the 14th and was told, not to worry it would be there. It wasn't. The ep from Casa Grande said they found another U-Haul an hour away that I could use. I asked if it could be delivered to Casa Grande and was told, no U-Haul doesn't do that. I had to go pick it up the next day which really threw my schedule out. Then when I got to the new location, they had a problem with the computer, and I waited at least an hour to fix the "home office" problem. I didn't get a receipt or any paperwork for the transaction and drove off thinking I paid the $169.00 for the one-way trip. When I got to Eureka CA to drop it off the bill was for over $200 plus and I asked why, and the clerk said I had taxes and insurance that I bought at the point of pickup. NOT! I was never told it was even an option! On the good side, the trailer was great. Well taken care of and served the purpose perfectly. Just very poor communication from the Casa Grande location. The location near Tucson did their best to facilitate my request but apparently Casa Grande gave them bad information. This entire experience really created difficulty for me simply because Casa Grande rented my unit to someone else before checking, that it was reserved and should not have gone out. I understand mistakes but I would have had the other location deliver or had U-Haul people deliver it to Casa Grande to assist my customer. Stan Smith

Dale BWhen I picked up the truck the digital gas read out showed 92 miles until empty, I filled the truck back up at gas station right down the street from drop off and watched the digital read out go to 108 miles until empty. I was then charged $75 for not filling the truck enough, which is 100% not true! The trucks should be given out with a full tank of gas so its easy to figure out to refill to 100% before drop off. I demand my $75 back!!!!!!!!!!! I also was charged for over miles, which again is not correct as I drove the truck from the pick up to the storage and to the drop off point, the drop off point was about 7 miles from storage, I was not given enough miles which I told the initial people booking by phone and the location where I picked up. Why would you give me barely enough miles to get to where I needed to go, just so you could overcharge me again for miles added? Uhaul needs to get there crap together, I rent from Penske a lot and never had either of these issues! I will be putting this review out on line for all to see as well, I want my refund back now!
