Equipment maintenance
JUAN MWhen I picked up the truck it was extremely dirty. I checked that it was extremely dirty and added photos and notes. The person helping me did not complete a full inspection of the vehicle with me so we did not catch that the cargo area of the truck was very dirty also. Because I was not aware that we should be inspecting that part of the vehicle, I did not notate that. The person guiding me through the inspection did not open the back of the truck for inspection. When I went to return the truck, I explained the situation that the truck was disgusting when I picked it up and so while I did clean up after myself, the truck was still very dirty as it was when it was given to me. I left the truck cleaner than I found it. The place where I returned the truck, then added a $25 dollar cleaning fee to my bill. When I called and asked why they had done that when I notated that the truck wasn’t clean when I picked it up and I had added photos, they let me know it was because the cargo area of the truck was dirty. They then said they had called the place I picked the truck up from and stated that they had inspected the cargo area of the truck. This is completely not true, if there are cameras pointed that way on their facility, I would implore someone to take a look because they simply did not show me that area of the truck. I asked the lady from the drop off location who she had spoken with and it was someone who wasn’t even there when I picked the truck up. They may have been speaking to standard procedure, but standard procedure was not followed in my case by the U-Haul representative, who then, lied about it. The nature of my usage of the truck was a home move, not something that would have dirt in the cargo area. Dirt in the cargo area is consistent with the other dirty conditions of the interior that I did notate, ie grass and mud all over the floor mats left by the previous customer. The thing that really bothers me is that I know that they would have charged the previous customer a cleaning fee for returning it in that condition. So they charge them for having to clean the vehicle, then they don’t clean the vehicle, they rent the vehicle to me, I notate that the vehicle is not clean, I go to return the vehicle, and now I get charged with a cleaning fee too? Because the U-Haul location chose not to conduct the cleaning they should have? That is not right. It’s not acceptable and it’s not consistent with my previous experiences with U-Haul although I cannot say I will be returning as a customer. This is completely ridiculous and not right.

Connie BI am confused by my bill. The first receipt I received invoice # 76560265 on 5/31 @ 12:27 pm showed a total of $41.75. The original turn in time was to be 6/1/25 at noon. I ended up turning it in at 4:30 on 6/1/25. Which I explained to him before I left. Now the same invoice is showing $83.50 for two days just wanted to make sure yall charge by the day or hour.

Edward GI was greeted when entered the building. She explained all the details in the contract. Very nice and helpful 🙂
Katina GPoor cell signal, the lady kept trying to bill me for extras, the original location could not hook up my trailer until after 4:30pm he said he was at work but to go ahead and take the truck. She billed me for an extra day and I purchased the insurance and she was trying to bill me for a window that cracked and was covered. It was one thing after another. I have moved several times and have not had an issue. But this lady was a piece of work.
Shantres PLooked like someone went mudding with the vehicle and trailer was not seeped out.
JEREMY WThis type of trailers should be rented with the Stainless Coupler Lock as part of the equipment. This trailer used a special coupler lock that is impossible to find. It should be rented as part of the equipment as the same way, the dolly get rented as part of the trucks. Not issue it, the customer can’t secure it properly or prevent it from being stolen. Thanks
MANUEL RDidn't really have a quick rental experience Took way too long. Too far out of the way. Closer location did not have a truck and referred Us to this one when there was another store A lot closer.
