Place is not ideal

RICHARD LGet detailed information about the charges. AND make it easier to drop off the vehicle after hours. Downloading an app is not always doable. The charges were outrageous and unclear on the bill. I picked the truck up at 1:00 on Friday, and had originally schedule a return on Sunday. I was able to return it Saturday afternoon. The office was closed. I get that I would be charged for the Friday- Sunday (3 days) in spite of returning it early. But 3 days at the advertised rate of $20/day = $60. I fell for the insurance and paid $60 (I was told it was ~40), I filled the gas tank upon return. I made two trips on my move at 30 miles/trip = ~60 miles, plus additional mileage for transport to and from UHaul. This approximated less than 100 miles. Getting billed for over $500 for all this, including various taxes etc. seems a bit too much and doesn't add up. Trying to talk to anyone there on the phone is impossible.
REBECCA HNo one was there. It was a small spot and there were cars and trucks everywhere. There is a busyard there and there were buses everywhere so I did not know where to go. Very confusing and caused me to drive back and forth to find the location and then I got charged more money because it was extra miles. Never again!

Peter GI was told that location would close at 4pm so I arrived at 3:30 and it was closed so I had to do finish my reservation online. The location had poor cell service so the process took about 20 minutes and I had difficulty getting the mail slot open to get the key as they key chain was jammed in to the door so I had to use a screw driver to get the keys out. I also booked a dolly for the van which was not in the vehicle. Dropping off the next day was equally difficult because I was required to download multiple photos of the vehicle which again required 10+ minutes due to slow cell service.
James CThis location was great. I did book at another location and was told everything was confirmed but then a day or two later was told by uhaul I could not pick up at original location, it was a little farther away for me but it all worked out.

Lauren SFirst off, I ordered the blankets and dolly but they were not with the truck. Secondly, the drop off location was from a scene in a horror movie. Literally, you all need to check that place and reevaluate if U-Haul should be operating out of there. Lastly, your app did not work and the website was having issue so I was unable to properly return the truck online. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with Uhaul and will not return unless I go to a location that has a uhaul employee and storefront.
Patrick MMy issue is not with the location but the U-Haul app and the ridiculously complicated process required and the slowness of the app which depends on good cell reception. The overkill regarding needing to provide a number for your slow customer service support to call (8:00am on a Saturday) to verify you when you already have credit card, driver’s license, phone number, email, etc. It took me almost 30 minutes to finally get my rental key and leave. That’s unacceptable.
William AUhaul saved me 2 times. Emergency and they were kind, facilitating and helpful. I love Jamall and Tallall at the Uhaul place in Buzzards Bay ma. 2 of the nicest men I've met in a long time. Thank you.

JOSHUA KThis is more documenting the problem with U-Haul than this specific location. The app is very problematic and slow. It took half an hour to pick up a van because the mobile pick-up was not working. No one was able to tell me via support why that was. I had to go inside to find someone to help and it took a couple minutes before I found someone. 11 hours after I returned the van I still don’t have a receipt via email or in the app.

Bruce FNothing to do with the location, the time from when I arrived until I was able to leave was over 30 minutes. I was not able to do the pick up through the app. The chat is extremely slow. It said “waiting approval” for ten minutes. Then someone joined the chat and told me more verification was needed. I have rented a few dozen times, across ten-plus locations with no issue and this almost turned me off forever. I can offer no explanation why it took so long.

AMY BThe self checkout need overhaul. The webpage gets hung up and does not allow you to complete. I have experienced this 4 times now. It’s not my cell service is the page or software. IT needs to be engaged and investments made to fix. No one has a good experience with the process. I almost was not able to pick up the van. It’s widely talked about by customers and locations. Listen to your customers and fix that problem. Service is outstanding otherwise. Why are you letting this be the downfall?

CHRISTOPHER FWe were to pick up our reserved truck at 8am. Upon arrival we found the location closed and no way to get into the truck. We waited 30 min and called to find another truck. We were told this location would open at 9. That never happened, they were closed for the day. We found another truck but since it was last minute at a self serve location there were no blankets. As a result our furniture was damaged in transit. Moving is stressful enough without all this!

Heather GDue to a number of reasons I had difficulty picking up with the app. It wasn’t until I was done that someone called to tell me where employees were to help.
Matt HTruck was empty when picked up. It was returned empty...yet I was charged a fuel service fee and a $55 fuel charge. The truck had 142000 miles on it. the doors did not close correctly. the visor clip was broken. There was no AC; the system just blew hot air. I'd like a refund on the fuel charges!

James HThe location was great! The guy at Protech, I didnt get his name was very pleasant and did what he can to get me in and out. Only issue was the 10’ uhaul I used had no Air Conditioning, and it was hot and muggy!
