DUANE MReserved a mobile pick up over the weekend. When I arrived to pick up, the truck key was not in the key box - so I was unable to get the truck and get my furniture transported as planned. The business was closed, and there was not a phone number listed anywhere for me to call, so I tried to cancel the reservation; but I still got charged for it.

george nI showed up a little before 8:30 am at this location to pick up the trailer. The office manager was 20 minutes late arriving and opening up and was surprised that I was grouchy and expected them to open up on time.
Benjamin LI only needed the truck for a few hours and the lady at the location (can't remember her name) was so helpful and polite. I even picked up the truck several hours ahead of schedule and she was very accommodating. The truck worked out well and we were very pleased with the truck and with the service.
Tye Mhe person that checked the truck in in Mt Pleasant IA did not go to the truck had me go back out and take a picture of the milage and fuel gauges. Thought that was a little lazy.
Ken SI called this location the day we were set to receive our pods and was told they were not scheduled to be delivered because they had not received an order. The order had been placed over a week beforehand. The location said that scheduling it with Uhaul was not enough and that I should have called them directly? Not sure why I would have to call them AND Uhaul. After the location checked to see if the order was there they acted as if it just populated that second and told me they would have to schedule another day. They also said the pods were empty which they were not. I realize these types of oversights happen but the owner/manger of the location was extremely rude during the conversation. They ended up delivering the pods that day but my customer experience was already ruined by the attitude of the location. On top of this my dresser is completely ruined and I am I happy with my overall experience.
RJ JWorst experience ever. The entire ubox process from reservation to travel to receipt. And the only answer you got from uhaul is sorry, it’ll cost more money to do that. Your affiliate in Mt Plesant is the single worst example of customer service s I’ve ever had. No, they don’t have the trucks to deliver our things, no, they aren’t open on the weekends. No no no no. I’ll be a hard core anti-uhaul enthusiasts forever.

Kevin GI was told that my drop off would be checked in. Then an hour after I left I get an email saying I was charged 20 more dollars for late check in. When I wasn't late. Don't trust then to check in your drop off!

Joshua VI returned my truck at night, and having just moved to the town, I didn’t really know what to look for. They have a U Haul sign out front but it took me a couple of minutes to find where the key box is, a couple buildings behind the one actually marked as R&D storage. I parked and completed the process online and that was about it. Didn’t really know where to leave the truck, their inventory was parked along the road but the key box is several hundred feet away.

Michaela RI went to pick up my uhaul an hour away from my home and wasnt informed that I would have to travel. I got there and the lady had an appointment. said she didnt have time to get me my truck and left. I called and was on hold twice for 40 mins each time. To find out they spelled my last name wrong. I asked a guy who didnt work in the office to help me. He called the lady amd she did it over the phone. Overall horrible experience. Also get cruise control. I drove 6 hours.
CINDY FWhile I would recommend the Ensminger family and service in this town with their other businesses-they give great service and are highly respected- I would not recommend UHaul ever again. Uhaul Corporate makes this way to complicated. We reserved a $32 6x12 trailer from the location we preferred. We reserved on a Saturday-needed it Monday. In that short time frame we were contacted by UHaul 5 times. They wanted us to pick up a trailer at a location an hour away. Then they wanted us to rent from a different location in our town. Communication between the local dealer and Corp is lacking immensely and the barrage of phone calls is frustrating. Corp also was very insistent to say this location did not own their trailers, they couldn’t guarantee a trailer from that location, and seemed upset that I did not want to go with the other locations. It also was not fair to the local dealer here. The local dealer arranged a transfer which was never put in the system - so my husband had to wait 45 minutes for the trailer. We will never rent from UHaul again-not because of the local dealer location but because of Uhauls irrational and super complicated way of handling their rentals and customer service. This has prompted us to seriously buy our own closed in trailer so we can continue to help our 5 college age and adult children move. Shame on you for causing so much frustration for the local dealer and customer over a $32 rental/sale!!!

Tracy SDue to the possible spread of the CoVid 19. I didn’t meet anybody in person when I dropped off the truck. I dropped it off within the 24 hrs limit. I was charged an extra $85 stating I had the truck for extra 2 days.
Kevin NThe trailer we received has no reflection on this place. The trailer was brought to them from another location and it was the only one they had. I did not open the back door at this location not knowing that I needed to, but when I went home and tried to open it, it opened hard but it did open, and since they did not have another trailers on site I had to use it. We did have to open it several times during the move and it opened. Then on the last load we had boxes ropes and coolers in the back going back for the last load and tried to open it and it would not open. Thankfully the trailer was not full. We were in Waterloo and went to the U-Haul location where they were very nice and gave us another trailer to use, but most of our moving boxes were in the trailer. We had to come home (Mt. Pleasant) without the stuff inside the trailer. Our daughter lives in Cedar Falls and was able to pickup the stuff but it was 3 day later before they got the trailer open. Both the business that here were very nice and helpful, I guess the location that took the trailer in and sent it to Mt. Pleasant should be the one who gets the black mark for all of this. Mark LDue to holiday closing I was cut short in time which created a great stress for me. I actually had eight hours to load, go to storage and unload. Also, the woman neglected to inform me that the truck came with NO ramp. I'd say I got ripped off. Also, the woman was very impatient with me as she kept saying she had work to do to enable her to close early and wouldn't be back until Jan. 2nd.

Jeremy AI had to search all over to find a trailer because of a hold on them in Iowa. I reserved one in Burlington, Ia, but somehow I botched up the reservation. RD was the closest place to get the trailer I needed and they did a good job.
Don UMake sure you send the correct trailer to the correct town so what is promised is actually available. They were accommodating at this site, but I would have only had to make one trip if U-Haul would have followed thru with contract.
Karl SWhile the lady was very nice she started my contract early leaving me to explain the situation to the people at the returning branch so i would not be over charged. Truck was dirty in the back and they tried to charge me for that upon return as well.
Thomas ANot happy with the fact this was a third pickup location I got bumped to. The Washington IA location seems to be bad about over booking.
Scott PSomeone switched my pickup location and didn’t send an email. The place called but didn’t say anything about being a different location. Then when we went to drop it off they said that they wouldn’t take it because the place was full. When they looked it up it was changed back to the pickup location. I have used uhaul a lot and this was the worst time. I am not sure who was at fault but it created several problems. I believe that you have a $50 guarantee.
