I booked over a month in advance. My pick up location was changed even though my original pick up location in DuBois had the same truck and auto transport. The Punxsutawney place was closed. The vehicle was dirty and muddy inside. I will not use Uhaul in the future.Wendy L.

I had ordered a 26-foot truck more than a month in advance of our anticipated out-of-state move. I was called the day before and was informed that someone had â€œscrewed upâ€ and the truck I reserved was on its way to Massachusetts. The closest truck that was then available was nearly 3 hours away from me. I had to wake up at 4:00am to drive nearly 6 hours round trip to pick up the truck, which had greatly set me back. Did not end up getting home until noon, four hours after I had wanted to start loading. Loaded until 10:00pm at which point we could not go any further. We were supposed to be out at 9:00 the next morning but didn't end up leaving until noon. I also had to drive another 30 minutes out of the way to pick up the auto trailer and was double charged for the accessories we had ordered (dollies/pads) because the attendant couldn't see them on our reservation. The only compensation that was offered to me was $50 discount and a wuarter tank of gas credit on the truck upon pickup, both of which essentially cover my personal cost of having to drive 3 hours on-way to pick up the truck. Nothing for my troubles. This entire experience with Uhaul is a nightmare. I would not use this company again at this point.Jonathan D.

It was just a place to drop off. But your call staff was terrible and 2 people couldn't help and put me on hold and dropped my call then the 3rd got one way out of our way. Terrible experience. I was told to drop off first at reynoldville then day of sent 20 miles out of my way to a location I did not know. I have my stuff at a uhaul storage but privately owned so your add of one month free is a jokeMELISSA F.

First ,I had to drive 50 miles to pick up the truck, even though I had three dealer's within 10 miles and I reserved the truck a month in advance..Second,the windshield was filthy,I had to clean inside and out when I got it home.Third, traction control message ,that it needed serviced ,came on right away.Not very happy with this experienceDan S.

I Was Conned!!!! The place I called was not the place I picked up. The location I had to go to was an hour out of my way!!!!!!!!!! Actually provide equipment at ALL locations! We have a site less than 3 miles from us and yet we had to drive 24.3 miles ONE WAY to pick up a unit. Yes, you provided 50 miles for the inconvience but really, almost 2 hours of wasted time to go and pick up and return home not to mention the gas we had to replace for this extra inconvience you provided to me. the only good part, the business knew how you work and helped us far more than your website to get this unit returned with NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSES to us.Elizabeth B.

The office was dirty and filled with smoke, I couldn't breathe and was gagging the whole time. The guy jyst kept smoking while a lady helped me out nearby. Afterward, a man helped show me how to get it ready and helped guide me onto auto transport. The truck had some trash in it when I got in and the steering wheel was disintegrating under my fingers. Not a comfortable handle to hold for 6 hours. The top of the consol is loose and rattled until I put a book on top of it. The guy helping me is the only reason they get 2 stars instead of one.Anthony P.

We have a U-Haul dealer right in our hometown, and that was our preferred pick-up location. Yet, they had no cargo trailers whatsoever for our moving day. So we were forced to go 34 miles round trip to pick up our trailer in a different town. That is just plain wrong when you list a dealer 2 miles from our house! We should have been reimbursed for mileage because we didn't have a choice. Also, we turned our trailer in a full day early yet got no money back for doing so. Again, you should be happy when a customer returns the trailer in excellent condition a day earlier than planned and reward them accordingly.Michael S.
