Without apology, a very surly agent who seemed annoyed that we wrestled interrupting his work in an adjacent garage informed us that the appliance dolly for which we had contracted was not available. He substituted a regular dolly without adjusting the price. I mentioned the differential and he said, with disdain, "It's only three dollars." He did not make the adjustment on the bill. I asked if he had any of the orange safety ties that would have come with an appliance dolly and he said no. The purpose of our trip was to move appliances from one city to another, with stairs at both locations. I have previously had great experiences with U-Haul, and sometimes equipment needs cannot be met, I get it. But the surly attitude that came with our "service" did not reflect well on U-Haul. I will not use this particular branch in the future.

Just a U-Haul affiliate with a back end parking lot. No help. Just drop off and use the app. Don’t use if you can’t connect or disconnect equipment yourself.

JODI SBasically this is a backend of a public parking lot about 100 yards from a small automotive shop. There are no dedicated UHaul reps at this location. If you don’t mind waiting or unhooking the trailer yourself, it’s fine.

DAVID BPicked up the truck with ~1/4 or less of gas, then I filled up too much gas. I find it a better customer experience to receive 3/4-full so I can use it and refill and not be paying $90 of fuel when I should have only put in $35 to return back on 1/4. So spent more money than I wanted.

Brian GReceived text after picking up trailer that the original drop off location in Franklin, NC was no longer accepting returns. Had to drive an extra 45 minutes each way to Bryson City to drop off trailer. There should be a discount for such an inconvenience.

Keith FI paid for the dolly but it was not provided and the store was not open, so I was unable to get what I paid for. Sure does make it hard to move without the proper, promised equipment. The truck itself was in decent condition and we had no issues with it.
Bernice Strying to get the truck was a nightmare. An hour on the phone to get the truck then another 45 min. to check it in. This was the worst time trying to rent a truck. Not to mention paying men to sit around while I try to get truck. Would never recommend to anyone to use the app.
