We were not advised about calling a day before to remove the lock. The following day we had to wait until 5 o’clock to unload the truck. When we went to unload the truck a different lock was on the storage shed from the last customer that used it. We wound up getting a different unit and paying for another day on the truck.

THERESA LThe address for drop off is an old location. It is now an equipment rental business not U-haul. The U-haul actual location is a few blocks south in a business office plaza. 701 23 ave canyon tx. Is no longer a U-Haul business address.
MICHAEL BWe ordered a truck and tow dolly for 7am. Had to go to a completely different uhaul on the other side of town 5 hours later to pick up a truck. This left us paying extra to the movers and having to get a hotel for the night. An extra $500 we didn't have, just to use a uhaul truck

LEONARD STLDR: Do an inspection of the truck BEFORE you sign and pay anything. I would check tires, lights, gas cap, locks, roll door, etc. Do not pay ahead of time on the app, pay in person after you’ve seen the truck and know it’s in safe working condition. Otherwise, you’ll be responsible for fixing any problems. This location doesn’t mind sending customers on cross country trips without working equipment… The truck had no gas cap when I picked it up. This affects fuel efficiency, and could have been a major problem if water got into the gas tank. They sent me to the uhaul on Western in Amarillo to pick up a replacement. They gave me the wrong size gas cap, so I went back. After my second trip back to Amarillo, they sent me to the uhaul center downtown on sixth street. The workers there were friendly and fixed the gas cap. However, with all the miscommunication, it ended up taking several hours to fix and was not a good way to start a cross country move. Looking back, I should have done a walk around inspection with the Rockin’ R employee BEFORE signing the contract and paying. I think if I would have refused to pay until they fixed the problem, they would have been motivated to help instead of pushing the problem off to someone else. In the future, I’ll probably use Penske.
Garet WYou did awesome!! The young man working that day was very pleasant and nice. If you can clone more of him then that's my only recommendation to improve the place. He got me in and out and was very friendly.
Erich KThe employees were super kind and helpful, I was offered the 20’ for the same price of a 15’ after my reservation for the 15’ was never delivered by the previous driver. I had also dropped my wallet in the middle of the parking lot getting into the truck, it was pouring, puddles everywhere. I called and they said they couldn’t find it in the office. They called back saying they found it outside in the rain. I am really satisfied with how kind they were and that they didnt mind getting wet to retrieve my wallet. (:
Rieleigh EI dont appreciate having to load an application on my phone to turn in the unit. I dont have a cell phone and needed to ask a friend for help. This is an inconvenience as you threatened to charge me additional if I did not do this. I think you should refund me the "extra day Fee" you charged me as there was no one there to check me in so I had to book an extra day and then go thru the drama of the mobile check in.

Jerri MFind an alternate site in Canyon. Better yet, find A site in Canyon. The original site said it was not the real place to drop off a truck. There was nobody at the second. Nor was there a business office or key drop. Although it was business hours the drop-off phone only had an answering service. U-haul help line had no information.
