I scheduled to pick up a truck in San Rafael, California on Friday, Aug 28 at 8am. The night before the rental pickup, I received a text that indicated I had to pick up my truck OVER TWO HOURS AWAY at the end of the day on that Friday. I do not have a car, so I had to spend $100 to rent a car and pick up the truck. It took nearly 4 hours with traffic to reach the location. I almost missed the window for pickup due to the traffic. When you've changed someone's pickup time and location so drastically, there should not be a risk of cancellation if not reached there on time. Thankfully the truck was there and I could do a self check in, the people adjusted my arrival time for me. But then the OTHER issue is that there wasn't a rental car drop off location nearby, so I had to drive the rental back to Sacramento. I'm grateful I had someone with me this weekend to move, but if I were alone I would have been totally screwed. You are LOGISTICS COMPANY. IT'S UNACCEPTABLE THAT i HAD TO PICK UP MY CAR 3+ HOURS AWAY AND THEN THERE WAS A RISK IT'D BE CANCELLED ANNDDD YOU WOULDN'T COMPENSATE FOR MY RENTAL CAR. Everything was wonderful except that we had to get help with the last step on the phone process and then it took us quite a while to get the lock open on the back of the truck.Judy H.

I had difficulty with both the online check-in process and the return process. I would be easier to let the costomer know that they will need to take pictures of the vehicle prior to locking it up and droppiing the key in the lock box. I ended up calling the number and asking for help many times.Hoping my next pick-up is easier and less time consuming.Mary S.
1. The van was not properly maintained. The van referenced low air on L RR tire. I filled the tire myself per verbal agreement with agent and the van never removed the dash alert. Another alert showed for an open gas pump but the gas pump was sealed to the best of its ability which didn't look secure. 2. The van hadn't been checked into the uhaul system so the reservation I made was scrapped and redone. The redo reservation was charged to my card with extraneous charges. I also filled gas and was charged for gas. I have the receipt. The 19.95 plus .69/mile was way overcharged-- by 30 plus dollars. I used the van for 2 hours max.Tracy B.

I was not happy with u-haul giving me a drop off location that was an hour away. The Willows location was a mile from where we unloaded. I am pissed off that you expect your customers to shuttle your trailers for you!!!! I will not rent again without written and signed drop off location. I have you plenty of time....but don't ever try to waste mineThomas S.

The front desk woman was friendly and a pleasure to work with, and the guy in the yard (maybe named Ricardo??) was wonderfully helpful in getting my rented trailer connected the rented truck as well as helping me load my car on the trailer.
