It took 35 min to upload my photo and drivers license This location used a master lock with a combo on the cube containing my van key One of the tumblers on the lock was stuck so I was UNABLE to pick up the Van!! The next morning I went back and was able to free the tumbler with a tiny screwdriver I lost 11 hours of rental time It was raining as I struggled with the lock that night and I got soaked

Erika SI reserved my rental way in advance but somehow it still got messed up. I reserved for pick up from a very large u-haul store near me but they didn’t have it and I had to drive 40 minutes each way to pick it up from another location.

lester sDid not provide an appropriate ball mount that fit the hitch properly. The trailer almost came off. Wasted money on the ball mount/hitch as it became an emergency to find and buy a new one from AutoZone.

Peter SThe owners and employees at this location was absolutely rude for no apparent reason, very unprofessional. On top of that at pick up they confirmed that the truck's level was at 3/4, they even asked me to check it before leaving, I confirmed yes it was at 3/4. I returned the rental with more than 3/4 tank of gas. The next day I was charged for the difference for a full tank. I contacted the location about the discrepancy, again they confirmed I was correct; and told me they were going to refund the difference, great! No, they then turned around contacted Uhaul, and asked Uhaul to contact me, they were not going to issue the refund. Less than five minutes after my call ended with the location, I received a phone call from Uhaul from a very rude, unpleasant agent that clearly had no intention to investigate further and believed whatever they told her. The agent first said I had asked the location to switch the truck, this was an outright lie, additionally that the gas tank was full at the time of rental another outright lie! The agent asked me for proof, did I take a picture of the gas gage when I picked up, of course I said no the employee asked me to go to the truck and confirm the gage was at 3/4, which I did. So I was accused and charged wrongfully and then held liable for not proving myself innocent, Wow! I will not recommend anyone to rent from this location, furthermore neither Uhaul; customer service seems to be getting worse year after year. As they say you get what you pay for. Try Budget truck rental instead.
Annisha Atoo many hidden charges that the customer is not made aware of. .89 per mile is expensive but I knew that going in. Van worked beautiful for my needs. Clean and comfortable. I'm very satisfied!

Roger KThe only positive about this nightmare experience was the team at Roosters that stayed after hours to help me after almost 5 hours of trying to pick up the truck which involved waiting on hold for an hour to discover a non functioning app that no one told me about, only being able to check in on Chrome (again had NO IDEA) and then not being able to use the international drivers license I reserved the truck with. This Nightmare was made worse by the two unexpected guard dogs that surrounded the car making picking up the truck keys IMPOSSIBLE and DANGEROUS. I was told to call animal control. And then to tell the dogs to shut up and they would leave me alone. UNACCEPTABLE

The app was not responsive and it was very difficult to submit required photos, many times after trying to submit one, the app closed and required me to start over many times. The whole check in process took over an our due to complications with the app.

Ellen EThis location is fine. But I had a major problem with the location where I booked the rental : Millerton Northeast Muffler on Route 22. They had the wrong combination for the lockbox, and no one in the office or available by phone, leaving me stranded. U-haul needs to have a fail safe backup plan and get it right. I rebooked at Roosters and everything went fine.

The larger size caused problems at flea market and cost a lot more to be allowed into my job to park to be able to sell. The larger size was herd to stabilize for my product. The location pick up people where not polite and lack knowledge of being representative
