You might tell your customer in advance that they will have to detach the trailer from their vehicle. Tongue weight on the trailer I had is heavy. Otherwise all good.

The only issue was that my preferred pickup location was approximately 20 miles north of the Wall Township location I was ultimately sent to. Maybe next time you can consider giving the client more than a day's notice that they may need to work in extra travel time on their moving day if their truck is not available at the preferred location. Other than that, Ross Dorrers Corner Garage pickup location was great - the gentleman who helped me with the truck did a great job preparing me for driving the truck.

The app should remind you to upload photos BEFORE arriving at location. Because cell service is weak at the location, uploading photos took a really long time

My experience was poor - not because of a location - but because of the constant errors and miscommunications. I picked up the truck at this location, on 5/31, (being told where to get it the night before), and apparently this location can't find your phone if you have Verizon (the customer service rep told me this is an ongoing issue for this location). Verizon is a pretty big carrier, so that's a HUGE problem. I had check-in online, when I made the reservation, but I had to call to get checked in and get the code for my key - even though apparently, that day, the systems were down. I get the truck - do my move - all is fine. I go to return it to the location I was given at the time I made my reservation (5/26). That day, I got a call, to confirm my reservation, and the customer service woman told me that the pick-up location would likely change, based on availability of the truck, and they'd get as close as they could to my preference location. She said the drop-off location doesn't change. Based on that information, I left my car at the drop-off location, so that I could get home when I was done. When I go online to do my drop-off, it has me bringing it to a different location. Clearly, I cant do that now since my car is with me at my current location: 1st Century Storage 1800 Rte 35 S Oakhurst, NJ 07755 I call customer service because it was just after 5:00, and the 848 number was closed. I speak to person number 1 who tells me she can't change it. I let her know that's not an answer I can work with, so I need to talk to a manager. I finally get to speak to Ashley Mosley (who was so nice and accommodating). After some time on hold, she says it's taken care of, and I send her an email with pictures of the truck - the mileage - and me putting the key in the drop box (at 6:03 on 5/31). I then see a charge for keeping the truck for an extra day ($40). I call to get that taken care of, and it takes someone 1-3 business days to get back to me to get my money back since they entered the time in at 1:30ish and I actually picked up the truck at 10:30 am ON THE SAME DAY AS DROPPING IT OFF. I had the truck for about 8 hours. It's not that I don't recommend this location. I just don't recommend this company for moving. Constant errors and it made my moving process even more complicated. Still dealing with moving a week after I rented the truck. Terrible.

I was overwhelmed with the automated (via cell phone) check in service. I think you could do a better job explaining what's expected of the customer. For example: I had no idea that my phone had to be "searchable" (granted, I am a senior citizen) and my wife and I sat in the U-Haul parking lot figuring out how to turn that on. About 15 minutes later we figured it out. The photo-taking was pretty straight forward, but then "JAVIER" (our contact person) would not accept my face-photo because I have a beard and my drivers license photo I'm clean shaven. Instead of asking for some other type of ID, he essentially said, "You must come back when the business is open to complete the transaction." That of course was NOT acceptable as I need the truck right then and there. I ended up starting the entire process again with "GWENDOLYN" who was able to determine that my bearded photo and drivers license photo was the same person (it really was easy to see that it was a match). Frankly, Javier needs some re-training. He is an embarrassment to your company. After about 45 minutes, I was able to drive away in my rental. Everything else about my experience with the truck, etc. was wonderful. The truck perfectly met our needs, although the fuel was only a 1/4 full on pick up. It would be easier to rent the truck with a full tank and then bring it back with a full tank, rather than trying to return it with a 1/4 full tank. Anyway, thanks for the rental. I would use U-Haul again.

The "Express Check In" option is absolutely ridiculous and delayed my day costing me money for helpers who were sitting waiting for me. I waited for 30 mintues and ultimately ended up having to call 1-800-UHaul to get my reservation confirmed.

The revised pick-up location was 7+ miles from the scheduled pick-up location and even further from our home. The trucks brakes seemed to be in pour shape. They were Extremely squeaky. There was no where to park upon returning and our reservation was not showing up on the u-haul website making the remote return very frustrating and time consuming. Overall this was the worst experience we have had with u-haul to date.
