I was charged twice to rent the U-Haul. That is too much

STEVEN BMade the booking for 11 o’clock. Walked in at 11 and the owner of the gas station was on the phone. Told him I was picking up a U-Haul I had reserved for 11 and he said he’d have to call his brother to come give us the U-Haul. We’d have to wait 30 minutes. So we ended up getting lunch and coming back as we had to wait for him to arrive. He was very nice and professional. But when I make a booking for 11am, it should be ready to go at 11 and he should be there.

Patricia FIt would be nice if you had pick up trucks in this location for people like me who only want to move one bedroom from one place to another but I was happy and satisfied with what I had thanks so much great customer service reps you have up here
james cMy first attempt to pick up a trailer was at BP of Clinton. The staff was no help and calling U Haul just added to my frustration. I canceled that reservation and made one at Royal food. The clerk there was outstanding and very helpful.

Kristin HIt was a nightmare picking up and dropping off. It took 45 minutes to get the keys. The app kept failing. Customer service had to be called multiple times. The inside of the cab was dirty. Never did get to go through the entire check in. Dropping off was better, but the app still didn’t work right and I still had to place a call to customer service - again. Truck itself was fine.
Kathleen PWas charged for a furniture dolly but didn’t get one. Charged for 24 furniture pads but only got 6. The pick up location was not organized or have a clue to what was going on. I made a reservation for a pickup

Shane MWhen we got there to pick up the young lady did not know anything about anything. She was rude and just not willing to help. We finally called U-Haul and the representative taljed.me through the mobile pick up. She was great. So as we puck up and inspect the rental to find that the hand trucks I ordered were not in the U-Haul. So I called them and no one around pur area had any except for where we rented from and Noone was going to be there until later I in the day because the young lady at the counter knew nothing. We finally got our hand trucks around 4pm that afternoon and we picked up at 7am. Most of our day was wasted bc we needed the hand trucks. Anyways it was a horrible day.
Melissa BThis is not where I originally rented the U-Haul from. I originally rented it from Foothills Service Company, LLC-520 Broad St., Clinton, SC 29325. I reserved the truck a week ahead of time to move my daughter, who lives there. I flew in that morning to pick it up at 2:00 p.m. and we had very limited time to make this move for her. When we arrived he said he didn't know anything about a rental because his internet was down but if we wanted to pay cash-which was around $700 for the rental, he could rent it to us but wouldn't be able to provide us with paperwork because his internet was down. Obviously, this did not seem correct since I've rented numerous U-Hauls throughout my life and have always had a contract and "check out" the truck the normal way. We wasted over an hour with him and then U-Haul was able to provide us with the rental that we ended up going with, which was a great experience. You should reconsider whom you allow to represent you. If that had been my first experience with U-Haul, it would have been my last. I was told that I will receive the $50 refund because the equipment wasn't ready but it would have been better if it had, for what was already a very stressful day.

John PThis was not the original location I was scheduled to pick up and I WAS NOT INFORMED AHEAD OF TIME!, PLUS THE PICKUP TIME WAS CHANGED; I HAD TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED. At this location the owner/dealer did not show up on time. The location is in a sketchy location; I had someone try to con me to give them money outside.
Gregory MThe original pickup location was never communicated to us and we had to go to the 2nd store above because the truck was not available. We also had to go down a size from 15 to a 10 foot truck. When I called to change all of this, the price was the same. I ended up cancelling and getting the truck from the location manager. This whole experience was very frustrating.
