Employee didn't seem to know what he was doing when I returned the truck. And I was charged a $20 service fee for returning the truck â€œafter hoursâ€ even though an employee was there and I was told I could return the truck anytime before the next dayDEVIN S.
The uhaul was filthy. We had picked it up the night before and only noticed how dirty it was when we were leaving . The cup holders had food stuck to them. There was garbage in the back.There was old receipts from previous I people. I will.not rent again. The guy at the store also broke protocol not wearing a mask. For the price we were charged we had expected more from uhaul especially during covid.Barbara H.

Found staff to be hard to deal with could not find the information when I arrived to pick up. Application was filled out the info on line except for uploading the drivers licence all the work was done but gentleman at pick up seemed confused and not customer friendly. The truck share could not locate my location, despite ensuring my phone was sharing its location. It was a very frustrating experience and caused a 45 minute delay in retrieving the vehicle.JAMIELEE D.
I rented a van for one day on feb 27 and drives for 15 Kilometres and they charged me for 101.44. uhaul advertised that it would be 20 dollars for one day and plus the kilometre drive. I called the customer service and their response was that they couldn't do anything about it. If I rented from local business it would cost me less than 30 dollars. uhaul is absolutely ripped off.JACOB J.
Learn the systems, i paid online and when i arrived i still waited almost 2hrs because it was requesting a deposit even after payment was made then on top of that when i returned the truck they charged me for a extra day because when the dispatched my truck they dispatched it for my arrival time at the pick up location so i lost the 2 hrs i was at the store waiting when the location told me to have truck returned by 9pm the next day but still charged me another full day and refused to give me back my full deposit when he assured me the full deposit would be returned. Then the owner told me to meet him the next day to discuss this in person and the owner avoided me for 3 days.Tim W.

I went in to rent a vehicle expecting to pay 1995 and never said anything about any mileage I was under the impression when you had it in town with 1995 if you're only having it for three hours which I had it for only 3 hours the first one I had had oil all over it I couldn't put anything into it I had to clean it out and then realize that the oil was on the floor was unable to put my stuff in that van so I took it back they were supposed to give me some sort of a discount on the next one which I never receivedTracey M.

The proprietor of the variety store had issues with computer print out so had to wait half an our to get the print out of my rental transcation.......thus having my hired help wait as well......and they were scheduled to be at their jobs for a certain time so their time helping me was late and so I got shorter time with them to complete the job properly as I had plannedSuzanne P.

Train the employees. It took over an hour to get registered and she was unable to give me a tag or any paperwork. She must not be left alone in the busy convenience store to be on the phone with her dad and neglecting paying customers. If this remains a one pony show, then uhaul should look elsewhere. The owner/operator there was as helpful as he can be however my experience was stained because of the pick up locarion. Because the Sarnia store and the Welland stores are considered different "districts" I was swindled out of my 100$ cash deposit. I was given It back via a credit card but that card was not mine. For a major company not able to help a customer I find that rediculous. Once again not this stores fault but I really dislike the process at which I was treated by the company.Kevin C.

The door on the 15 foot truck I received did not shut properly. The parking lot was so difficult the truck was parked so close to the other it was difficult to get in. The person insisted that the truck only had 1/8 of a tank but I was to return it with 1/4. The U-Haul debut machine didn't work but when I needed a refund somewhat work but the refund has yet to show back in my bank account. I originally pre booked at Confederation st. But had to be sent to Russell for the truck I had booked. The person told me I was wrong and had no booking took 5 min to figure it out.Michelle K.

We are still not moved. We borrowed the truck on friday at 1pm and we werr to return it saturday at 1pm. Our movers backed out so we ended up having to move his place by ourselves. We called and asked to borrow longer three times we called to keep longer. The store owners had no problem with this when we spoke on phone. I would actively encourage them to seek a UHaul outside of the city of Sarnia I felt like I was financially violated and fleaced. I made many arrangements to make my son's move to London stressfree and enjoyable. Including taking an hour off Saturday to pick up the Truck and all of Sunday to unload. I reserved the truck for two days which was confirmed. The morning I went to pick up the truck I was informed that I would have to have it back by 5 pm Saturday, that I would not be able to get a truck for the days from any other location in Sarnia and that it would be cheaper to do a one way trip to London. I was forced to take adfitional time off work and When I tried to drop it off in London after spending most of the day arranging an alternative way home I was told there would be a $210 charge for not returning the truck to Sarnia. Never again will I rent from any Uhaul in Sarnia .... I would give a neegative rating if I couldRachel S.
