overall, the equipment was clean and well maintained, with the exception of the driver side side-view mirror. The driver side side-view mirror had not been cleaned and was completely covered with bird excrement that I could use the mirror until it was cleaned. Additionally, the Windshield had not been cleaned either and was full of splattered bugs making visibility difficult when driving close to sunset when the glare is bad.

NOEL BLocation did not feel safe. Outside of U-Haul was dirty (inside was clean). App did not load photos. Equiptment ordered was not inside of the truck.
JAMILA GMy pickup was scheduled for 8:30 am. I got there about 8:15, the boy who was working there barely understood english. When I asked about the 12 moving blankets that I ordered, he gave me a strange look, he had no idea what a moving blanket was. He told me to look out behind the store. I thought maybe there was a storage locker that held blankets but there was nothing but trash piled up back there. Finally he called his boss, who told me that I would have to go to another location to get the blankets but that it was only a 2 to 3 traffic lights away, it was well over 15 blocks away. The location didn't open until 9am which was the time I was to meet the movers at the house. Fortunately, there was a nice lady there who gave me the blankets anyhow and said she would charge it to the store. I would highly recommend that Uhaul stop using the SACS location as a pickup site. They are dirty, unprofessional and there were homeless people hanging around the back of the store where the trucks were stored. The pickup was just a bad experience all the way around.
James LWhen I arrived at 9:20am, no one was there to help me so I had to wait 15 minutes for the manager to arrive. He was a very nice guy and was very helpful and eventually I was able to get signed up and out 15 minutes later. Thankfully there was 1 uhaul truck and it was the 15 ft truck that I had reserved so that was good. But the location at the Valero station was just a bit odd and so that is why I would recommend other locations for uHaul to someone. I will say the truck was in good shape and clean. The gas was at 1/4 full which I found odd since it was at a Valero Station. Anyway, it all worked out OK after during the week I was bounced from one location to another.
DEAN WSee above. U-Haul didn't know we had returned the truck and threatened legal action. It took 2 calls and 2 days to get it appropriately checked back in. Thank God we didn't take U-Haul up on the many requests to tow additional cargo on the back of the truck because the truck was dysfunctional to begin with.
