The U-Haul Rep in Sullivan MO directed me to the St. Clair MO location that had the type of trailer that I needed on the lot. She was very helpful and courteous. The lady in St. Clair MO was also very helpful and made sure I got the trailer I needed and assisted in filling out the necessary paperwork in a timely fashion. I had a very positive experience. No improvement needed. The lady that waited on us, she is a jewell. We got lost and she guided us in and stayed on the phone with us until we got there. The truck smelled so good. I wanted to ride in it all day. The truck was perfect for what we needed. In 13 months we are going to need one to take our stuff from storage to Arizona and we will definitely use this location.jennifer G.

The lady was extremely rude. When I questioned her about needing the 15 foot truck, (3 at the location) she said someone was on their way to pick the only one available up for use that day. I had to pay more for the largest truck to move a couch from one end of town to the next. Paid a hundred dollars for an hour. Returned the truck after hours and what do you know.. trucks were still there! She wouldn't give me quotes when I asked if there were any cheaper options and huffed when I asked. Rushed me out of the door once I paid and explained literally nothing to me other than to drop the keys off in the drop box when I returned the truck. Worst rental experience in my life! Never renting or doing business at St Clair Storage again, and Uhaul may want to look into their customer service and potentially losing them further business.Tara S.

I reserved 3 dozen furniture pads. When I arrived, they were not available. When I said they were part of my reservation the lady said "you can put whatever you want on our reservation, it doesn't mean we have it." Her attitude was horrible and she never apologized.David S.

The drive was a little long to where i had to go to pick up the truck and trailer, but it was memorial weekend and not many trucks to pick from. But over all it was great.james K.

We wanted to say that the lady we dealt with was so polite and friendly that we've used this location more than once just for that reason. Our only complaint is that the enclosed trailers are very heavy and awkward to get onto your vehicle. They have to be man handled onto your vehicle and it certainly takes some brute effort. Sadly It would seem that after we dropped our rental back off it was then stolen so thank goodness this particular location has wonderful security cameras but apparently those and the effort it took to attach it didn't deter them so my complaint seems a bit menial, but all in all we had a wonderful experience and will definitely use this location again.Kevin V.

Trailer was in rough condition. Customer service was seriously lacking. They were rude & lazy & disrespectful. We were left to our own strength to attach the trailer to my vehicle. There was no â€œJackâ€ to raise the tongue onto the ball hitch. We asked for a dolly & were told they didn't have one. No effort made to find one either. We just spent $700+ at this place. Had bruises & strained backs from lifting the trailer tongue. We were told that we could not use the restroom â€œdue to covidâ€. Just so that you understand the enormity of the situation... We are 2 female physically disabled senior citizens on limited income. We had plans for this trip. Had reservations @ hotels for each night along the way. We ended up having to take the trailer to a mechanics shop to have the hitch redone. This was just a very crappy experience. This trailer could have caused a serious accident!Deborah B.

The whole ordeal was very up in the air. When I made the reservation online it said I had confirmed a particular vehicle at another location and then got a call from the St. Clair location. Then they contacted along with headquarters I assume multiple times giving me 3 or more times I could pick it up. I just gave up trying to figure it out and arrived at opening to attain the vehicular. The rest was fine, however setting it up was not pleasant at all!Stephanie H.
I went to drop off the trailer and the lady told me to back in a slot and unhook the trailer. As you know trailers with a heavy tongue weight can stick on the ball. I asked her if there was anyone to help me lift the tongue off my hitch and her response was â€œUHaulâ€ doesn't have us do that- it's your responsibility to unhook and get the trailer off your truckâ€ she basically said. It's your problem not mine.Avery S.
We ended up not needing to haul to Festus, but were made to drive an empty truck 45 minutes away to Festus instead of being able to return it to the location we picked it up from.Christina C.

Put a reminder on gas tank to fuel after trip unless completely nessary. I lost _30 because I got fuel before trip. Got too much. No credit for fuel really sucks!!Crystel O.

It wasn't the storage facility I had the issue with. It was Uhaul. I needed to pick the truck up at 8am. I did it through mobile sign- in and expected it to be quick. But instead I finally got it at around 9am and I people(helpers) waiting on me. The whole selfie is kind of ridiculous and took longer that needed to. I set up an account a few days prior to speed up the process that didn't work. I figured that is why you sign in using a password, to use that password to get the truck. Not take a selfie and wait for an approval that took way to long. I will not use Uhaul again. And to finalize my complaint just a few words...password, password, password, password, password, password, not selfies!!!!!!BRIAN E.

When an appointment time is set be ready for the customer, be prepared for them don't make them wait 30 minutes. People are renting trucks because they are moving and don't have time to wait for you to clock in. This is also after they had to change our pick up location because there was no other places with a truck within 15 miles and that already pushed back our desired pick up time an hour. This is not a cheap expense, the least they can do is be on time.Nicholas H.

While trying to rent it asked for a scan of my drivers license they didn't have a scanner. they had to call St Louis MO to get help with the rental. two people tried to do it and both got it wrong had to call back a third time and the women looked at the rental on the computer and said she didn't know how they got it that messed up. she had it fixed in two minutes I had been waiting one hour. If they need to scan your license U Haul should furnish scanner's to all their rental locations if the had a scanner I could have be done in ten minutes.Ronnie R.

Send trucks out with a full tank of gas. The gas gage was broke or not working correctly and ended up filling the tank up instead of putting it back to where it was. That being said what should of cost maybe $80 ended up being $135.Cythina W.
