Originally reserved a 5x8, 10 days ahead of pickup from Marshall Minnesota, got phone call the day before pickup that the 5x8 wasn't available in Marshall sent me to Pipestone. When we went to pick up the trailer they only had a 4x8. Pretty frustrating that your reservation system doesn't work.

The office manager, at the pickup location, Elizabeth was very helpful and friendly. Based on my interaction with her, I would definitely book uhaul thru this location. We, originally, booked through uhaul in Marshall MN and it was the worst service ever. The Pipestone location made up for it!!

Not their fault but I didn't need the trailer when I picked it up. This is a small community and only one distributor so I was forced to pick it up before noon on Saturday when I really wanted it late on Sunday.

Nothing wrong with pickup place S&S great job got me in and out great service, but online experience was garbage with Uhaul. Reserved 26' truck for Marshall MN not Pipestone MN they didn't tell me anything I had to called 2 days before my move to find out they don't have a 26' in Marshall but I have to drive an hour and a half to get a 20' truck in Pipestone was not happy and inconvience for me which cost me more money than expected! Regardless they waived me a few miles ect but that's just to get you to pay for it they know it's gonna cost you more in the long run due to Uhaul's shady business. The rental places have been always good it's just Uhaul's way of doing business makes them look bad. Next time I'll go elsewhere and not F-haul! I'm giving poor rating for UHAUL not S&S Truck repair!

only concern, the tuck was in dire need of new wiper blades. I didn't need to use them, and would have bought new ones if I had to. it would have been metal to windshield.

Inform them that there is a "Wrong Destination Charge"($73) if you decide to go to a different location to return the trailer. We were lead to believe that either location would be okay.

We were jerked around so damn bad by this company. We reserved our U-Haul through the company in Canby, MN which was only half a mile from our home, but we were told they did not have one so we had to go to Marshall, MN which was a 30 mile drive. When we got to Marshall I was called and informed the UHaul was not back yet but would be within the hour. So we went to eat breakfast, after at least an hour if not more, we went to the UHaul place because we had not heard back from them, only to find out the UHaul was not going to be returned that day and we had to drive an additional 45 miles to Pipestone, MN to pick up our UHaul. All said and done, we had to travel over 145 miles in order to get our UHaul when we were supposed to pick it up a half a mile away from our home. This put our moving crew behind, costing us a lot of money as well as putting us behind in moving!

I had reserved a 5 x 8 cargo trailer. When I showed up on Monday, the 5 x 8 had been rented to another party, without S&S's knowledge, so I was told. Being offered an upgrade 6 x 12 trailer was not appealing due to increased weight & wind resistance. After carefully measuring the door on a 4 x 8 trailer it was determined my wardrobe cabinet would fit through the door. This worked out very well and I was satisfied. If a piece of equipment is reserved, it should be just that, RESERVED.

For a moving company U-Haul does not seem to understand the stress of a move. I made a reservation 2 weeks prior to my move date. 24 hours prior to my pick up I was notified that there was no truck available and nothing would be until 2 days after my scheduled pick up. I was then informed by customer services that others who had scheduled further out from their move were a priority over me. I was not as fortunate as others to know months in advance when I would be moving. While I can appreciate a first come first serve basis, why was I able to make a reservation when there was clearly no trucks available? Why was I not notified sooner then 24 hours in advance? Since I had given 2 weeks notice of a need for a truck then why could one not be brought to the location I was to pick it up at? Instead of doing the honorable thing and not allowing me to make a reservation or at least notifying me the next day after I made a reservation that at this time there would not be a truck available, they waited until the last minute to tell me. I therefore had no options available to me except to use whatever scraped together plan I could from U-haul. The only options they left me with was picking up a truck totaling 4 hours from where I had originally planned. This left unnecessary added stress, time, and problems to my move. The compensation they gave for their last minute notice in my opinion was not enough to make up for the results their actions left me with. In my future moves I will look elsewhere in my moving needs and will advise my family and friends to do the same so that they are not left scrambling last minute before there move. Had this not occurred I would have had no problem with this service, but I now find them untrustworthy and dishonest to use in the future.

I used to work for a rental center in college that had Uhaul, I know how frustrating it is to try and get some a truck and work with traffic. The boys at S&S took the time to look at a truck that was supposedly torn apart (per traffic) and make sure it was safe to get me on the road. Not a huge fan of Uhaul, especially after she lied about the truck being torn apart and tried to send me to a location two hours, but S&S is top notch and I will for sure go back and recommend.

I had to drive to Pipestone, MN and I live in Sioux Falls, SD. I also was told to drop it off in Hazen ND, 26 miles from location, and that trip was 86 miles. Update your drop off locations for ND.

keep the equipment up to date and in running working order. This time I'm rented a car totter that the straps were shot lights didn't work and fender was loose, last time we rented an appliance cart and straps were shot and was in poor condition!
