BYRAN SI accidentally left an item in the truck Told me if I didn't come get it they will charge my card 100$ I couldn't find anyone to help me get the item . I checked my bank balance and they charged me 125$ Instead of the 100$ they quoted me . The price they charged is ridiculous!!!!

Jose MOriginally rent at a different location with a guaranteed availability but was called a day later after driving 600 miles that they did not have one and had to send me to the Santa Fe Location.

LEANNE HI did find the check in and out progress could be more simplified. If all the information including the ID and drivers license pictures and payment could be done prior. A contact number for people to actually reach someone that could help with the online check in and out process. would be quite beneficial. The 2 numbers I called both said I had to go to a facility that was open. Very frustrating.
Mary LLocation did not have the 2 dozen furniture pads that were requested in the reservation and I had to drive to another location in order to get them. If I knew this was going to be the case, I would have just picked up the truck at this alternate location. This was an extra unneeded stress when trying to move half way across the country. The truck I was given also had the check engine light on which I only found out after getting my car loaded on the tow dolly and getting ready to pull out. One of the representatives checked it and said it was just the maintenance code and cleared it. That said, the next day when I was starting my actual cross country drive after loading the truck, the check engine light came on again and stayed on my whole trip. This was yet another stressor for a cross country move that I didn't need. Fortunately, the road side assistance people told me it was probably just the maintenance or a sensor code and that I was fine to drive it and only had to be worried if it started blinking. I've used UHaul for most of my previous move and this was probably the worst one when it comes to the added stress due to the issues described above. That all said, the staff at the location was friendly/helpful and it seems like some of these issues are larger UHaul issues and not necessarily an issue with the location.

The following was reported to the location: the transmission was sluggish and both shifting was rough, both accelerating & braking. 2 of the 10 blankets provided were damp, moldy, & unusable. Because they didn't have the dozen I reserved, they didn't charge for the blankets, but I would recommend that future renters check the package(s) of blankets before leaving the rental site.

Scotty KOnline check in was quick and easy. Online check out was kind of tedious and cumbersome. Especially in the dark. Not what I wanted to deal with after a long day of moving.

Rob LThe equipment almost killed me. Lights weren’t hooked up apparently and after getting hit on the highway I found out why they didn’t actually hook them up (wasn’t aware before hand)- the cables for the lights were cut and taped up under the trailer wheel well. It has been well documented via photos, witnesses, and a mechanic.

Tom BThis truck, in my opinion, needs major attention. After driving many highway miles and then coming to a stop light, when I braked, the truck actually accelerated and kept lurching even though my foot was firmly on the brake. I found it necessary to shift into neutral in order to keep the truck from striking the car in front of me. Thankfully that was a one-time issue, but even once is, again, in my opinion, unacceptable.

Brianna SI had ordered 2 furniture dollies and they didn’t have them and claimed they never have them. I had to run around town to purchase 2. Staff was excellent.
Garry HOnly charge the mileage to the customer that the customer actually uses. Do not charge the mileage used for moving/parking the vehicle. Every time I have rented a truck, I get charged for an extra two miles that I didn't even use. I look at the mileage when I enter the truck the first time and again when I exit it the last time. Uhaul always adds extra miles for moving their own truck and passes it to the customer which is absurd.

ABIXAEL DI requested a dollie however there was none at the facility from where I rented. I drove to another facility who also had no dollie however they did have boxes, locks, and dollies for sale. I understand now, some facilities have no supllies just a place to pickup a truck. I was charged excess milage however no one informed me of the maximum milage I was allowed.

Morgan EMake sure that what people rent lije dollies are actually going to be there. Rented truck And dolly specifically for appliance moving. Appliance dolly was not in there. Also truck fuel was on empty when picked up. Had to put gas in b4 any moving. Otherwise everything else went well. Easy to rent.
ALEXANDER RSante Fe was ok... Uhaul however,.. Allowed me to rent from a location for a 6:30pm return, when they close at 5pm. Then a 2.5 hour long conversation with Uhaul (of which an hour was in the Sante Fe Parking lot) because it was gated and I was told I "can't leave the trailer outside the gate but we don't know what to tell you.... Eventually I said fuck it and went home. I was supposed to receive a call from someone at Uhaul to discuss this absolute ball drop but no one has called. If the situation ends here I will be using any other means necessary to avoid Uhaul in the future and will be advising family and friends the same. I lost an entire event with my family because your automated system, then phone reps, completely failed.
