Nothing to do with the actual uhaul place but the experience was sub par at best. It was such a hassle since I had to relocate to this location when the lock wouldn't open for the first one. That took two hours to rectify and I had to travel a lot farther to pick up the new truck. Then the lock there got stuck as well. Made a mark on my finger trying to yank it open.Melissia C.

Got truck with 41 miles to empty. Returned it with quarter tank and got charged for fuel that I wasn't required to put in. Got charged for unknown damage. Truck had a flat 30 minutes from pick up. Trailer got a flat the next day. I received equipment with bad tires and spent hours on side of road. Filed a complaint and did not receive any payment back. Not even a return phone call.Stacey D.
The ratchets on the car tow dolly were so rusted it was almost impossible to to get the car hooked up. Check engine light came on during the trip. The steering alignment was so off. Would've been fine for a 10 minute in town move but 18 hours driving with the wheel turned 45 degrees just to keep going straight was ridiculous.LAUREN O.

I always thought of U-Haul as crappy trucks. Well, I was WRONG and actually discover a very good alternative for future truck rentals.nim M.
No dolly available with reservation including one. No plate on truck noticed right before almost driving out. I had to notify them when I noticed it. They told me I had to go to another location to pickup a truck after they would try to find one and after my wife had left the location and was 30 minutes away! Finally they decided to request a paper plate. Totally unprepared and unprofessional. Would not recommend this location. Was a complete nightmare.Michael S.

I was hurt really bad because the ramp to the back of the uhaul was faulty . It had a section at the top of it that was welded backwards so instead of having grip going up the ramp it was backwards so I slipped causing a 350 lbs cabinet to fall on me. Worst of all I called and they have still not called me back . If I need to take some action on it I will all I wanted to do is talk with someone.Justin H.

This was the 2nd location I visited.the first would not rent me a tow dolly said my truck would not pull a car on it. I had rented there before but this time they refused me This 2nd location was just the best in assisting me.booker T.

When I picked up the trailer, the owner had expressed some concern about the lights being dim, and said that he would look into upon return, but it should be ok. But I guess he didn't realize that under the trailer the wiring was actually frayed and exposed. on my way down to Trinidad, Co. during a rain storm the lights started blinking and malfunctioning, and eventually burned out, along with burning out the electrical tow/haul system in my truck. I had to wait till morning to continue to my destination with NO Lights and when I arrived, I reported the incident to uhaul roadside and they had me bring trailer to their Certified mechanic, Santin Auto & Truck Repair, who verified that the wiring was faulty and that it had blown out the electrical tow / haul in my truck and that I cannot tow without it, as it will ruin the transmission on my Ford Diesel. He also stated that because he works for uhaul that he is not allowed to work on my vehicle. So he calls uhaul roadside back on phone and tells them about my truck and their faulty trailer and that he is taking possession of it from me for repair. Well they are still trying to charge my over 500.00 for leaving there broken trailer in Texas, that broke my truck, that their mechanic told me and them that it will ruin the transmission on my 60,000 truck to try and tow, And they agreed to let the mechanic close the contract to fix the trailer. VERY BAD BUSINESS, you try to double charge ME for your Broken SHIT. I am a retired 1stSgt and a member of the Retired 1stSgt & Sgt Majors Asso. and I intend to let ALL the Military I can know about this shit deal from uhaul, and how the have treated a military member as if I'm some piece of shit Lair, as contracted, I had every intention to bring the trailer back to Fountain, Co Empty, had the piece of junk, Not Broken down on me, as your certified mechanic verified. And you charging a customer for something that wasn't MY Fault, but Your Improperly maintained equipment, Shows Uhauls Dishonesty and Failure to Take Responsibility for Your Faulty Equipment Failures. I intend to take this matter to court, I have photos of faulty wiring as well as recording of conversation between mechanic and roadside service, I will also stop payment for these charges and do every thing I can to ensure that No Other Service Members are Bamboozled by uhaul corporation. The personnel at Santin Auto & Truck Repair, a VERY HONEST and FAMILY owned Business that tried to help in this situation, and should maybe consider canceling their contract with the CROOKS at Uhaul, as not to Ruin there Fine Reputation in Texas.Terry D.

Lots of confusion about the reservation. Got confirmation twice in person followed by a call the next day (twice on 2 different days) telling me the particular trailer I wanted was 6 miles away. That was after I drove over to the Basse location to clear up confusion and was assured all was in order for Thursday pickup at Basse. The next morning another call informing me they didn't have the trailer and it was 6 miles away. Why couldn't they tell me when I made the reservation where the pick up would be instead of booking it for Basse pick-up then informing me the next day I had to pick it up somewhere else?christopher C.

I used the self pick up and got confused on the very last step. I called the area manager on the web page. He said wait right there & he would have someone walk me through it. I was immediately contacted and assisted. Everything up to that point and after was problematic on my part. On the Uhaul end I got very nice, helpful after hours assistance that will ensure repeat business from me.Sharon B.

Trash in rear of truck. Inspection of vehicle before leaving center not conducted with me. Gas cap was missing and I put on one I had at the house.Franklin R.
Ceasar was great. Uhaul was having a software issue, verified by phone agent, (I overheard), that was completely unsympathetic to the retailers' situation. This issue made the transaction time 5 times longer than it should have been. A defect inside the trailer, (D ring broken, "hook rigged" for replacement by uhaul), made my use nearly completely unusable. It took me an extra 2 hours to return to my place of work and repair the trailer myself. Over the past 41 years, I have used uhaul for trailers and trucks, and I will continue to use your products.Robert R.

The quote I received on line indicated a total cost of 42.91 for 24 hr rental of a ten foot truck. The invoice and debit that was charged was $249. Absolutely ridiculously overpriced. Complete misrepresentation of advertised price as well as projected quote. I did not realize until I'd returned the car dolly that the two safety chains that secured the car dolly to our vehicle were not the same. One of the two was noticeably lighter weight and actually broke some time during transit. The two chains should have been identical but were not. This should have been addressed at the point of origin. Fortunately, we did not have any issues despite the breakage.Alice B.

I believe that for the first time in my life, I actually rented a trailer that didn't have issues! It followed like it was made to follow a pickup! :D On a more serious vein, it was a great little trailer. It didn't leak. It handled well. It followed perfectly. Overall, my little trailer made a stressful situation quite tolerable! Thank you!
