This is the second rental in the past month from two different locations. Both were well located for my objectives. However I was led to believe based upon the detail offered on the website there would be support equipment available. The first location I had selected two furniture dollies and the second a standard dolly. In both cases neither was available. I made do with a standard dolly from the first location and the appliance dolly substitute was of minimal benefit. Both owners apologized for the lack of the equipment and suggested they had no way to manage what is offered on the site. This is a big dissatisfier, primarily with the website for it does not allow me to find a solution in advance of showing up to do my moves.

The location itself was fine, albeit out of the way since I was coming from Revere. The gentleman I worked with was efficient and knowledgeable and had me on the way in under 15 minutes. He seemed a bit confused about some of the paperwork but not such that it delayed anything. The trailer had not been swept and there was detritus inside which needed to be swept out before reloading.

David C1. Tie down bars in the trailer were broken. 2. Trailer had no tongue jack!!! 3. Right rear tire had to filled with air three times. 4. The trailer was advertised to have brakes but this clearly didn’t yet needed them when loaded.

When we dropped off the trailer in SC, the U-Haul rep indicated the straps were not secured properly. He also indicated it's lucky the vehicle didn't come loose and there was no damage to the brake line of our vehicle. Also, we received the initial equipment verification link hours after we picked up trailer and it had expired.

michael sThe cab section of the van was dirty-window had not been cleaned in a while and the front console had not been cleaned/dusted in quite a while. In the passenger door I found a ballon filled with some type of liquid along with a marijuana cartridge.

Linda BI had to do a vehicle pick up and drop off through the app due to timing. While the app was easy to navigate and well laid out it was frustrating waiting for the vehicle pictures to upload. It did show a percentage of how far along the upload was and for me it took 5-7 minutes so I was not sure it was working.
ANDREW HAfter many years of renting vans from various companies, this was my first use of U-Haul. I found the young women who took the booking and when I called with call a concern very pleasant and accommodating. At pick up, Scott was helpful and answered all questions.
Vincent CCould not get my cell phone to connect to uhaul to get code. Owner was extremally helpful. Phone call to customer service person hung up on me prior and did not call back. Big bust!!!!!
William WWell the app, did not work as planned on check in or check out. I had to call customer support, they confirmed that what i did on the app should of worked picking up and dropping off. I think the trouble started when I initially made my reservation via telephone, then download the app as recommended but it really never caught up with the initial reservation via telephone. I like the app, but has a few kinks. You support people on teh phone were great and thankful they were there. Cheers

Deirdre MI am getting increasingly frustrated with the mobile checkin process. I have been picking up from two dif locations and both happen to have weak cell service for me. Each time I try to upload the picture of myself and my license it fails and kicks me back to the beginning. I end up having to call and speak with support, who let me skip that part. Why do I need to do this every time ? Can’t I do it once and keep it on my account? Or let me do that part early from a different location? Really really frustrating. I am renting trucks to move equipment for a performance, not just moving out of an apartment. The checkin process has made me late and that is pretty stressful. Thanks for hearing my concerns.
JILL RThe app is clumsily to use. Should be a simple operation. Before checking in, tell the customer what will be needed in advance. Cell service and internet coverage effects the experience and can easily become frustrating.
Anthony RHad a terrible time once I got to the pickup location figuring out how to get the four letter code to get the key. I spent an hour and a half texting, emailing and talking on the phone. My call was eventually transferred to Kyle. Kyle was extremely patient and helpful and walked me through the process and got me on the road. Charles MNot a clean fancy rental place, just an old school messy garage. And I am fine with that.
Will WProblems with mobile app - could not pick up my location properly so it would not let me return the van. Called customer service - took 45 minutes on wait and the phone. Problem picking up the van because of the U-Haul app - I was late so it wouldn't let me pick-up van. Called customer service - delayed half an hour.
