Equipment was damaged and defective causing severe issues towing. Ratchets were not functional, frozen, did not work properly. They had to be thrown against trailer to unfreeze the ratchets. My car came off the tow dolly due to ratchet malfunctioning. I paid a tow truck to replace the car properly back onto the tow dolly and would like a partial refund of the fees charged.

Rosemary CThis location is perfect. The owner has UHAUL trucks facing the highway so you can see this is the location. The turnoff is clear and it’s easy to rent and return equipment (Indod both). The equipment is well spaced out, so on return it’s easy to back into the space. The lady at the desk should have introduced herself, otherwise she was very pleasant and efficient. I have used these folks before for UHAUL services, and will use them again!
John GWhen a first time employee is just getting use to doing the paperwork, have a more experienced person help him. Don't make the costumer wait for thirty mins. trying to rent a trailer. They don't need to listen to the online class going on in the office.

william lTruck was filthy inside and out, the drop off key box was open and broken. Couldn't reach anyone to contact. Unfortunately there's nowhere else around to rent trucks.

Joe FThey charged me for gas which was ridiculous even had photo and video evidence against thier claim. Also they charged an "after hours" service fee which was also erroneous because I dropped off a full day early!! Have had to make phone calls back and forth just ridiculous overall. Do they think customers won't question these things or cover themselves for these types of fabricated charges? Will think twice on going with uhaul on the next move.

Richard SThere was an unexpected increase in the total bill when I drove less miles than estimated. I drove half the miles than estimated and ended up paying more.
GREG SCheck engine light on in vehicle and vehicle did not track straight. Alignment off. Engine noise very loud and sounded like it was knocking. Definitely need to service the vehicle. Also I was charged for an additional day of rental even though the vehicle was returned within the 8 hour window I requested it for. Turned in and dropped in the box at 530 to 545 and watch both employees pull out of the parking lot as I arrived. Not happy about that. Mileage and fuel were all good but just didn’t know why I was charged for the additional day as the mobile return option would not share my location with the website at this location. Has worked at others in the past.
Donald MWhen I realized I was overcharged for gas and cleaning fees, I returned to the location to speak to the woman who checked me in. I asked her why I wasn't told I needed to sweep the vehicle. I would have purchased a broom from the dollar store if I knew that the 3 leaves in the back would cause me to be billed $25. The female attendant dismissed my concerns and told me to leave as it wasn't her concern, it was UHAUL's issue. I told her I had photos showing that I returned the vehicle with more gas than when I left and she refused to look at them. I asked for the UHAUL number, she gave it to me and told me to leave. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. They engage in fraudulent business practices. I called the pickup location to address my concerns and the manager, Autumn, was helpful, professional, and courteous. I've already filed a better business bureau complaint and Chamber of Commerce complaint against the C&D Mini Warehouse location.
Janice KAlso rented a 6 x 12 dual axel trailer. Getting the trailer hooked up was very difficult as there was no tongue jack so I had to pick up the trailer tongue by myself and get connected. It was very hard on my injured back. I will never rent another trailer from U-Haul because of this.

SHELIA TNot only was the return date changed on me, but I returned the equipment on time to an empty location outside of operating hours and was charged for doing so, so I got double screwed thank you very much. That's why this location gets a crap review. What would you expect.
Howard LHad a 0900 reservation, arrived about 0930 and no one was there. Walked around building hollering out but no response. Went home and called parent Co. They finally got someone but it was after 1000 before I had the trailer. Then the rep kept arguing with me that she was there. Worst customer service I have had in years.

Eric CThis whole experience was horrible. The U-Haul places were great and the workers were even better. HOWEVER, U-Haul needs to let their customers know about these hidden fees. These 2-day, no refund, one-way trips are a scam! Then, you have to fill the truck back up to where it was when you got it. My trip was fro Hertford, NC to Raleigh, NC. I had a 15’ truck rental for one day $306 after them taxes of course. Then turned around and put $55 in the tank. Yet, I can’t get a refund for my unused days? I will not recommend U-Haul to anyone. Better off paying somebody. I will never use U-Haul again.

PAUL KThe location was 54 miles from my home and I had to find someone to go with me to go get the equipment. U-Haul customer service and scheduling would not compensate for the money spent on gas to go that far, they only added 50 miles to my contract, but the location refunded me some money so that I could turn around and get insurance on all of the equipment. I had to email corporate in order to get any kind of resolution and they compensated me and apologized for the inconvenience, unlike U-Haul's customer service or scheduling. The pick up location was great.
Heather SFuel level changed after driver snd attendant looked at truck. It was 3/4 tank and changed to 1/2 tank. A text message followed ; however my paper work wasn’t updated and I was required to return it with 3/4 tank. I recommend updating paper when these changes are made.
Steven CThere isn’t much you can do when coming from out of state to rent a truck. You can only trust UHaul will do there job. You have no control over that. UHaul gets zero stars!!!
