Subject: Dispute of Overcharge on U-Haul Rental – Reservation #14959045 Hi I’m reaching out to dispute a $146.18 charge that was applied for this recent U-Haul rental under reservation #14959045, picked up from the Selectify Discount Store located at 7941 Canoga Ave, CA 91304. The rental was for a 10’ truck listed at $19.95, with a mileage rate of $1.09 per mile. We drove the truck approximately 13 miles total, which should have resulted in a mileage charge of around $16.35, bringing the total (before tax or small fees) to about $36.30. We returned the truck the same evening at 1:29 am which falls within 24 hours of pick up. Please check video surveillance camera for the evening around 1:29 am. It will show me dropping the keys in the night box as instructed by the gentleman that rented the truck to us. We did not add any equipment, return the truck late, or leave it dirty. The only possible additional charge could be for fuel: the gas light came on within the first few miles of driving, which indicated that the truck wad almost empty at pickup. We made the decision not to fill the tank since the gas station was further out than the cost of the fuel we actually used during our short 15-(or exact mileage) mile trip. If required I can provide the following for your review: • A screenshot of the listed pricing from your website • Our reservation confirmation email • Odometer images to confirm mileage • A photo of the receipt showing the $146.18 charge I would appreciate a detailed breakdown of these charges and a correction or refund where appropriate. Please let me know how to proceed. - Thank you, Marco P. So my suggestion on how to improve the U-Haul experience for the next customer is DON'T CHEAT THEM. If they rent a truck for $19.95/day and they have it for a few hours, and go under the alloted mileage don't charge them for 3 plus days. Thanks again.

I will have to call to explain because there were so many disorganized events, causing over an hour delay in our pick up and having to travel to Multiple pick up Locations, it was a legit nightmare. Terrible experience and will never use this company again
JASON WThis was the worst experience and the worst truck I've ever gotten from U-Haul. The pick up location was a dirty, disorganized furniture store without any helpful accessories to get. The truck had a dirty windshield that I had to clean myself, and it was smelly and very noisy.
