Overall evaluation: My experience was good. I did have issues with my vehicle after I left the facility that were associated with “lot rot” but it was expected since the vehicle has been sitting for 15 months. The battery had to be completely replaced and the tires flattened out which caused vibrations past 70 mph when driving. Customers should be mindful that these issues do happen and to speak with the employeeS about their plan to prevent lot rot. Access hours: For a storage facility that works mostly with military members, I felt that access hours should have been a bit flexible vice the standard 0800-1600. Obviously this is just my thought and the facility can run their business as such, however having the availability to pick up a vehicle if you can coordinate with the facility prior could benefit both parties. The facility could change an after hours fee and the customer could have the option to pick their vehicle up at a time that is more convenient for them. Doing the 24/7 is a total nightmare/ fail, I tried it but struggled every step of the way. too many questions. Setting up at home on the computer wasn't too bad, but when your onsite trying to go through the process it is very difficult. If you were able to check in at home and out at home it would be less stressful and confusing. Or if you were able to print out exact instructions ahead of time that really worked, and more streamlined. I was able to get help but for the most part it was a fail. the help that I got was wonderful. You have good people working for you.Mark W.

The ladies of Semper Fi were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond the call of duty for me! My experience with UHaul company was not what I expected. UHaul did not have the equipment I had reserved ready. I had to go to another location to get it while paying for mileage! I will never use UHaul again!CORINNE B.

The truck that I rented turned out to have a leak in the corner. It rained while I was transporting my belongings and water came through the leaky corner and into some of my boxes, ruining some of my belongings. I drove 29 miles and when I put gas back in the truck it took 9.01 gallons. 3 miles/gallon is a little absurd. I tried to talk with management but they wouldn't budge. Very dissatisfied with the customer service. Cheaters...JEFFREY R.

There was some confusion about the location of the truck that I reserved online. I went to one location and was told I needed to be at their other location. Went there and did the paperwork, only to find out that the truck was sitting at the original location. It was not that big of a deal as the two locations were only about 5 minutes apart, but it was inconvenient.ERIN B.

The equipment was clean and ran fine. The issue I had was that the steering in the truck was so worn that for my 1000 mile trip I was fighting to keep the truck between the lines. It was veering back and forth because there was so much play in the steering. I called the uhaul customer service number to ensure that the truck was repaired prior to the next rental and was told that a rep would contact me within 24 hrs. I still have not received a call, 3 days later. I am pretty certain that if an inexperienced driver does a long trip in that truck, they have a very good chance of wrecking. When I dropped the truck off I told the person receiving it of the issue and got an, "ok", as if it went in one ear and out the other. I don't want compensation or even an apology. I just don't want a dangerous truck on the road that could be repaired for less than $300.MIKE M.

The dispatcher (Pam) put in the wrong gas gauge in the system. They did not have the utility dolly that I needed! I would have had to drive over 16 miles away to get one and it was on a Sunday so therefore not too many places were open so I was left without a dolly on my moving day!!! My paperwork was different in the system than it was in my order conformation. I was told by the dispatcher (Pam) and my online order confirmation that I had two days for the truck rental when I only had 24 hours. I will NEVER use U-Haul again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I will tell everyone I know.GERMAINE R.

Had the initial request for 29 march, got a phone call the night prior 30 min before they closed saying that they didn't have the 2 dollies I requested or furniture pads. They then told me I could drive 14 miles to the nearest uhaul that had it and that I would get charged the mileage to pick it up. So after this was debated they told me I could get it on Easter Sunday and that they would have everything there. Pick it up on Sunday and still no dollies or furniture pads, gave it to me at a discounted price but very disgruntled.SHANE C.

Two of the anchor points in the trailer were broken and a third broke during the trip. Also some of the lighting on the trailer did not work (turn signals and what not did work but the marker lights to see the trailer at night in the mirrors did NOT work.) Also the tires were shot; one tire blew out five hours into the trip which delayed me further waiting for the repair man.Jeffrey C.
