The equipment was fine. The lady who dealt with us was nice enough at first. It wasn't till her computer started to give her uses that she started panicking a little, becoming increasingly irritable and toward the very end borderline rude. Like I get we all have bad days and computers can be awful sometimes but that doesn't mean it should affect your professionalism and make a transaction awkward with a customer.Austin G.

UHaul as a larger company needs to not screw their customers over the day of their reservation. If some unforeseen circumstance arises at the last minute, then they need to compensate the consumer vs just pushing them to a further out location. Saying "sorry but not sorry" is not how to do business. When it comes down to the satellite store itself, they did fantastic, but corporate was what needs to be fixed.Scott S.
Made appointment on Wednesday for rental at another location. On Friday at 5:15 got message that first location could not meet my needs and I would have to go 10 12 mile out of my way to pick up! The charges by mile (extra 24 miles for u-haul???? Then get a call at 3:30 saying I had to have truck back by 4:30. I was only allowed 3 hours? So bill me by mile then corner me with time?I asked service person about the deal and they are short trucks in area. U-haul better invest in this location (1000s of move here each year) I will definitely be using another company next time.James L.

My Uhal experience was below average. They changed my uhal pick up location without notifying me. After I showed up to my original location they let me know they changed the pick up location to a place that was 35 min away. My original location told me I would be refunded for miles because it was a total of 33 miles to get to and from the new pick up location. Once I drove 35 min to the new location they let me know that I would not receive a refund for the miles. I told them that no one contacted me that my original location was changed (no call or email) and that the last place told me I would get refunded. I had to pay a extra 50$ for the change. This location was great. They accommodated me after a royal screwup by UHaul and another location. UHaul changed my preferred location from this one to another site due to truck availability. I get that and am ok with that. However, when I went to get the truck, it was filthy, there was no additional equipment ready (pads and utility dolly), and the 24/7 check in process was cumbersome and not quick. It relies on verification of your identity and that process was not explained up front. UHaul then changed my truck for me but I still had no equipment. I contacted Semper Fi and they happened to have an upgraded truck and equipment and got me running right. Huge thank you to them.William P.

The man working there came outside as soon as he saw me driving the truck onto the lot, walked up to me as soon as I hopped out and took the key, and told me he would take everything from there, I was only there for a total of 30 seconds which was very surprising and pleasant. When a customer makes a reservation at a location uphold it I moved from one place to another used it for .8 of a mile but had to pay 30 additional miles because had to drive that far out of the way to use the truck not fairMichael M.

I moved out because my unit was infested with ants. I had my things there for a week and by the time I got everything, it was all crawling with ants. I had no food or attractants in the unit but the ants came anyway. Now I’m stuck killing ants all over place. Not recommending the company to anyone.Daniel E. | Overall Experience

This was NOT the fault of the location we used for picking up the truck. Uhaul is missing opportunities in military communities surround base installations by not having enough trucks available during peak PCS season (June,July, August).Mathieu L.

The counter attendant was appalled at the cost of the 6x12 trailer that I rented from State College, PA to Hubert, NC. I too was also disgusted at the price. A 6x12 has usually never cost me over 700 one way at ~700 miles. This time the trailer cost me $1,300 one way!!! The attendant at Hubert called Uhaul and the Uhaul rep said that the high price was due to the scarcity of trailers available â€œin the northâ€. He said that the preponderance of trailers are going north to south which is driving up the price. Instead of Uhaul taking care of the issue, they are instead passing off the price to their customers. Additionally, I am a member fo the Military and have no choice but to move when and where ordered. I feel like this is price gouging. I will be reporting this as price gouging to the Inspector General's office as a violation of the Servicemember's Civil Relief Act.Matthew D.

I booked my truck well in advance, however when I showed up I was told there was no truck available because the only one they had was still with the last person who rented it. I had to come back the next day to get my truck. Not the rental place's fault, this is U-Haul's fault. Extremely frustrating.Nicholas L.

I was charged a clean up fee and the Uhaul had to be cleaned out before I could use it. It had sand and rocks. Then the place I picked up from didn't do a complete job on checking me out. I had to come back after heading to my destination. Overall it could have gone a lot better. I would like my cleaning fee returned.REGINA G.

I checked the truck and trailer in online as the office was closed. The checkout was easy but I didn't know where to leave the equipment and it took us a while to find the drop box. I am storing at this location so the truck and trailer were located inside the fence. The drop box was located outside the fence. Maybe some communication on the office door would have helped direct me to the lock box.Gail K.
Great 15' ft moving van had every feature needed for a safe efficient move . .......When' you have questions or problems the people we called were very helpful and walked us thru the online experience . I don't normally respond to these types of questionnaires. However something needs to be said about my experience in securing the truck requested. Originally scheduled to pick up truck at your location in Swansboro, NC; Sandersons Trailer & Hitch. I tried five consecutive days to contact by phone to ensure Saturday pick up date. "No one at home!" A U-Haul associate also tried to contact even using an alternate phone number; "no one at home!" Ultimately U-Haul moved the pick up location to Hubert, NC, not real convenient but I did get the truck I had originally requested. Whereas Sanderson Trailers & Hitch could care less about customer service, SEMPER FI Vehicle couldn't have been more accommodating. Very nice and professional young lady who waited on me was very easy to deal with and transparent. It's not my place to tell anyone how to run their business, but U-Haul should look at taking the franchise away from Sanderson. When I drove by the location after securing the struck, significant inventory of trucks and trailers sitting on their lot. U-Haul couldn't use that inventory at some other location? The first vehicle had problems starting so the lady gave us the other one. She was terrible at explaining the difference in prices to us. It was like she started from the end and worked her way back to the beginning but only because we kept asking questions. We had to correct her a few times while doing the forms because she overcharged us. Definitely needs some more training. I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. The experience was prolonged and frustrating to say the least.KATELYN F.
