The truck I rented was dirty on the outside. The window was very difficult to see out of. Also $1.09 per mileage is very expensive. The customer is paying for the gas why charge so much per mileage.Anthony P.
The truck had 89000 miles and appeared to have very poor springs and nonfunctional shock absorbers. I've driven vehicles of similar or larger size but never one that was this stiff, rough and a loud ride. However, the staff were wonderful and helpful. I would use this facility again just with a different vehicle.Ron J.

Reserved a cargo van weeks in advance via the 1-800 number. Upon arrival in Merced there was not one available. Had to drive to another city (Turlock, CA) get a van complicating and delaying my trip.Ian H.

Make sure someone checks that all the exterior lights on trucks are in working condition. One of the rear taillights was out on the truck I rented and I wasn't aware of this until my brother informed me after he was following behind me. This should be something that is checked after the return of every rental to avoid the next customer having to get a rental truck with burnt out lights as it is an inconvenience.Christina M.

I have a problem with the local U-Haul person I made the rental reservation with. I specifically reserved a 5X8 trailer (RV). Upon arrival to pick up the RV, I was told that I would be getting a 6X12 RV. I had no option as they didn't have a 5X8. I felt scammed into having to pay $143 for the 6X12 when I was quoted $81 for the 6X8.. I did lodge a complaint and was refunded $30 by the Area Manager. The least I expected was for a $62 refund. That would be the difference between $81 and $143. I know I spent more on fuel too considering the extra weight. With gas being so expensive it did make a difference. It's only fair to be charged with what I had reserved. I need to add that the folks I picked up the RV from were great. My beef is with the person who took my reservation.Alonzo O.

The one complaint that I have is that Uhaul switched my pickup location a day before pickup without informing me and the size of my rental. This is more of a Uhaul procedure issue. Pickup location experience was great.Patricia P.

Returning the U-Haul was more difficult than I imagined it would be. I had to download the app, share location, then check back in the trailer. And somehow there was a $20 â€œafter hourâ€ fee which I was unaware of until the day after.WATSON T.

I had previously been sent by the app to the location in delhi, ca..... They didn't even have a truck, hadn't had a truck for a week.... I had to call for a ride from the location... Sew creative saved U-haul. If they would not have been so good i would have paid EXTRA for a herk or ryderCHRISTOPHER M.
My U-Haul experience was terrible and not something somebody who is moving and has a lot going on needs to go through. I had scheduled my pick up for 7AM from Sew Creative in Turlock using the mobile pickup via the app. To prepare, I read the keys were supposed to be in a coded box of some sort and we would get instructions when we arrived. We had all our help lined up and chose 7AM because they all had things to do later that morning. The night before at like 4:45 I get a call from U-Haul saying my rental will not be ready and I have to pick it up at 8. I was asking clarifying questions and if there was anything they could do because I did not want to loose my help. The lady just kept saying the same thing, Nothing they could do and it won't be ready. After hanging up I call Sew Creative thinking surely there is something they can do. Ohhh boy was I wrong. By the time I called it was 4:56, they close at 5. They answer, put me on hold for 6 minutes. When he comes back I tell him what happened and he rudely explained they don't open then and so I need to come at 8 when they open. I tell him I signed up for the app and I am ready to follow the instructions of getting the key etc etc, and I get the same answer plus he says he doesn't leave his trucks outside bla bla bla and U-Haul knows its their fault because they allow the early reservations. So after 5 minutes of him not only offering any help but being rude about it I told him fine we would see him at 8AM, thanks, and goodbye and I hung up. He called me back immediately saying we were disconnected. I had no idea who he was until he said Eddie from Sew Creative I told him I said goodbye the conversation was over wasn't it and he started to tell me I hung up on him. I told him if he couldn't help me the conversation was over and I would see him in the morning and he said ok goodbye and hung up. So in conclusion, if you want to be belittled, and treated like an inconvenience by a grown man that acts like a child, yeah get your uhaul from Sew Creative in Turlock, if not, i'd take your business elsewhere.Gerardo G.
