I was not expecting to be charged for insurance, and was not asked if I wanted it, $14 just appeared on my bill. The truck was not very clean in the cab, the wind shield or the interior area. The process was efficient, but the vehicle could have been presented better to the next customer.NORMA G.

We would recommend Sew Creative for all U-Haul needs. The owner and employees at Sew Creative were really kind to us. The cold night we brought back the rental after hours the owner was locking up. He and a kind employee saw us and happily reopened the gate and took care of the return. They both were surly late getting home but they didn't rush us or act put out by the change in their plans. Uhaul over the phone set me up with a discounted price. When I arrived the business had no idea about it and wanted more money . When I was using the truck a d trailer to move out of state the truck was over heating and the trailer chains wouldn't stay in place . After driving it back to the town I lived out of the drop off location charged my card for something I had already paid for days prior. I'm still going through disputes and uhaul is not willing to help with this double charge . There's ZERO communication between the companies who have the trucks and trailers and uhaul themselves . This was a mess of a deal and a bigger headache then it should've been . Moving is already stressful and the last thing anyone needs is more BS added to the struggle . I do not recommend uhaul, not ever again will ever be using this service .Alfred C.
I rented a trailer for 2 days and I was supposed to have it back by 11am I was running an hour late and I got a call from the agent saying I was late so I asked if I could rent it for another day but the Uhaul agent said that I couldn't because they had it reserved for 12:30pm, so we drove the trailer back and was there at 12:10pm but they were at lunch until 1pm and nobody would answer the door or phone. So I ended up dropping the trailer myself and then left. When I got my receipt in the email I got CHARGED for another day. So here's how I would improve, 1. DON'T call people and tell them they have to bring the trailer back and not be there when they do. 2. DON'T tell customers they can't rent trailer for another and then charge them for that day.David A.

Truck was dirty, not just dirty, but DIRTY. We needed to sweep out the truck and 'attic' before we could put our stuff in. The cab was also dirty. The windshield needed to be washed. This is not what I expect from UHAUL.Robert N.

The Tow Dolly that I rented worked fine - with the exception of one HUGE problem.I was able to transfer my vehicle from Merced to Newman - but unfortunately once I arrived my destination - I discovered that the 'strap' that secures the tire to the dolly - had become lodged underneath the tire while we were in transit (distance approximately 33 miles) With the strap being lodged beneath tire - it was impossible to unload the vehicle. I had followed the instructions given by the U-Haul Staff member before we departed Turlock - and there was never any mention of any precautionary measures needed to prevent this odd and inconvenient occurrence of the strap being 'trapped/caught' under the tire. Due to this freaky vicissitude - I was delayed 6 hours (primarily waiting for Roadside Assistance) in getting my vehicle unloaded. This delay was NOT the fault of the Technician (Jerry Alcerreca/Road King Diesel Inc) who eventually arrived around midnight to resolve the issue. Jerry was great - he listened to me - assessed the situation - and resolved the issue within 30 minutes. The true reason for the delay was the complete and TOTAL ABSENCE of any Customer Service provided by the people who staff the 800 number for Roadside Assistance. I had to endure a series of totally uninvested CSR's who were lacking in communication skills or problem-solving strategies. I spoke to 3 different women - the first one (I did not happen to catch her name - because whenever she spoke - she would 'mumble' her words to the point where the listener could only decipher 20% of the words she was saying) I informed her that it was extremely difficult to hear and understand her - and in response she continually mumbled and made NO attempt to speak louder or any clearer - she sounded like she was bored out of her skull. After 2 or 3 minutes of non-communication she eventually hung up on me - which is the EPITOME of rudeness!!! The second CSR - was no better - each time I would ask a question - she would not respond - I would repeat my question and again she wouldn't say anything - as this continued I became slightly frustrated and adamantly repeated my question - she at that point told me that "I was being rude " - which is bizarre - because the phone is supposedly dedicated to 'assisting and informing customers of solutions' to remedy the customer's issue/situation, This woman as accusing me of being 'rude' because I was seeking a resolution to an issue that I was having with the equipment - I was utilizing the 800 number for its intended purpose - and consider that rude. This is inexcusable and extremely unprofessional. After about 3 minutes of this madness - simply terminated the call - and waited for an hour of so hoping for a shift change at the Call Center - which would bring other CSR's who might possibly be invested in serving customers opposed to tormenting them. On my 3rd attempt - I believe I spoke to a woman named Iva or Ava - and she informed me that shVernon H.
