Perhaps it is not fair for the current owner as they are new to the rental process. The store has been recently bought by new owners who are not well versed in the rental process. Because of the language barrier it was hard to understand my customer service representative. He was fairly comepetent in using the U-haul computer system but it took more time than I thought it should take given my registering on-line. I was renting as a volunteer of my church. I tried to advise the clerk that we had a tax exemption certificate we wanted to use. He said another person (possible former owner) who was not there until the following day might be able to help with the tax issue. The following morning we received the invoice including tax. We would still like to be credited the rental/sales tax if possible.
