Vehicle was dirty, inside and out when picked up. Both cab and box were dirty. Returned cleaned vehicle and was told a receipt would be sent by email. Over two hours passed before the truck was marked as returned a receipt was sent.James L.

Although the interior was clean, the car was under 3in show and frozen like hell. In other words, so not ready to go. I wasn't expecting a warm engine. But the car should have been ready to jump in and drive off. Instead my husband and I spent 15 min scraping it off. Luckly that we had 2 scrappers in our personal car. Big Uhaul only places have the car ready to go. Never again with small places.Cristina A.

The truck smelled like a dumpster, so much so, I was worried my furniture would smell like it after the move. The interior of the truck was clearly not kept as well. Also, I paid to have a dolly and cart, but received neither. I didn't get a refund I asked for upon returning the truck. I have moved once a year for the last decade + and have used U-Haul exclusively. This was above and beyond the worst experience I've had so far.Shane L.
Lol i am not cheap but if i drove 94 miles don't put me 100 on the receipt The guy who check me in he was so busy with other customers at the gas station it take him 20 min to check me in than the other guy who check me out he didn't wanna ho out and check the rental car i told him i told him i took pics just for in case if they something. Switched my reservation to mobile but when I arrived the app indicated that I could not check in via mobile! Thankfully the gentleman behind the counter at this location checked me in after the stated closing hours and we were able to get on our way. Location and employees were great - U-Haul app was terrible and did not work in multiple ways, including check in which would not accept the photo of the odometer no matter how many times I tried. Thankfully there was another kind gentleman who checked us in.Charles G.

They add unnecessary fuel charge, I had fuelled up the car to the marker to which it was rented out. I have the photos to prove it. I will be logging a concern around this.Sourabh A.

Location was good, no issues, went smooth. Uhaul scheduling was awful.. I got called one hour before my reservation saying that they didn't have a truck for me even though I booked one. I'm not sure why their online scheduling is so horrible that they allow people to book trucks that are not available and then let people know last minute. They found me a smaller truck, but I had to make two trips with limited time. Overall made my move horribly stressful.Emmanuella M.
The passenger cab was not cleaned. There was melted chocolate in the cup holder, receipts and business cards on the floor and a used pair of gloves on the seat. In addition, the vehicle was nearly out of fuel. One notch from empty. When I brought this up to the Shell attendant, he replied "Gas? We don't do that." We were at a Shell gas station! This forces me to fill up before I even set out on my trip. I was already behind schedule because I had to drive out of my way since my pick up location was switched from Arlington Heights (where I had made a reservation) to Mount Prospect, IL, the day before!!! What was the point of my reservation?Kalin H.
I booked my appointment online, and chose this location for pick up based on the proximity to where I lived. Was initially a little worries about picking up from a gas station but was pleasantly surprised at how good the customer service ended up being. When I received the estimated total from the clerk of the gas station I was upset because the online quote was much lower, but upon a quick review of the receipt, I realized that some charges were wrong and that the insurance coverage choice was incorrect. I used to work for a rental company at ORD, so I figured they were trying to "get" me as am I aware how the rental business game goes. However, after I brought up the issue to the clerk at Shell, he immediately understood and agree with me, but said that was what was in his system from U-Haul and that he would need need to contact them to get it corrected. I figured since he couldn't correct it for me right then there that I was gonna be over charged and just have to deal with it later because I wanted to get to moving. But, when I returned the vehicle the final bill was actually cheaper than expected. These guys are legit and really made my experience with U-Haul a pleasure! Would definitely recommend.Christopher C.

First of all I would like to mention U-Haul guaranteed this rental for me when I originally reserved this truck OR U-Haul will pay me $50.00, which I deserve in this case because my rental was not ready when I got to the location. The U-Haul so called 27/7 truck share online gave me the notification that your reservation was changed to hand delivery instead of using my phone to get my truck. Then I went inside to talk to the employee and he said can you please come back tomorrow or in a couple of days to get your truck rental when I reserved the truck a few days in advance and U-Haul guaranteed the reservation or $50.00 paid to me. Then I told the employee to see what he can do for me because I scheduled a couch to be picked up with that truck and the whole point of the reservation is meaning of the word to reserve the truck on time for me. The employees boss responded 25-30 minutes later and when we got inside the truck it smelled like chewing tobacco spit, and there was a dirty weird looking chewing tobacco in the cup holder which made the truck smell so bad. Also they added insurance coverage on our rental which I did not want, and I picked the right option during my initial reservation, but when I picked up the truck they added it. I talked to the employee to remove it he said call the 1800 UHaul to tell them because he can not remove it. I would definitely look into using another company to rent a truck instead U-Haul.Dhaval K.
I returned my truck to the location listed in my contract 12 hours before it was due. I had received multiple text messages with different return addresses so I called the ensure I could drop the truck at my contract location and received an affirmative. A representative called two days later and told me I returned the truck to the wrong location (which I did NOT, I returned it to the contract location), then told me they and the regional manager would take care of it. 10 minutes later I was invoiced for an additional day! Seriously, what is going here? I will never rent with U-Haul again after this all around awful experience.RACHELTYLER C.
I was charged for a second rental period even though I returned the vehicle before the end of the original period. It was because the gas station attendant didn't actually check in the vehicle until 30 minutes after I dropped it off. Never rent from a gas stationSCOTT K.

Customer service was terrible! Gas station cleark was useless and we had to to be on the phone with the owner who was absolutely unprofessional and rude! There were UNDERWEAR left in the back of the truck. We were charged extra 50 miles because of course we did not think to take a picture of odometer when we drove off the gas station (im frustration after receiving such poor customer service)since we never had an issue with Uhaul before. Absolutely shameful. I will be making a claim on the millage because it is am absurd to be charged extra 50 dollars because the gas station does not do their job properly!Karol C.

The fees that Ugaul adds on the top of the agreement is a bad business behavior. As example environment fees. Gas fees for 12 mile to full the tank. This is upsetting and for sure I will not recommend Uhaul and I will expansion why with this scamming fees. Please note the problem is not the location is it is the business model that Uhaul is practicingMatthew A.
