I started researching a truck&trailer rental approx. one month before my Road trip out of state. I Reserved it well in advance. I was told 24hts would be sufficient. I went in 48hrs before. Suddenly learned that out of state equipment was hard to find.. from my home base Salinas Ca. I had to drive over 100miles to get the truck to Salinas. I had to drive 50 miles in the opposite direction to get the trailer. Found out at the trailer location I could not use my Chev. Suburban yo tow trailer home. Had to go get truck. So I put 150 miles and two days of my time to get this equipment. I was not given any extra days or extra mileage allocations. This truck had 103300 miles on It. The exterior of the truck was filthy. I had to add transmission&motor oil before leaving town. I was assured before all Of this there was 10 dealers in town, no problems getting equipment!!! My allotted mileage was 1540. Luckily it ended at 104819, 24miles over. I called a person I had been dealing with , like all Of this “nothing He could do!! . So disappointed but in a complete bind due to scheduled loading, weather& time off work. Horrible experience of not being informed of some of This.
