Location was not where we reserved and was not told till night before. When we did get there, we were told they didn't have a one way truck which is what we had reserved. Had to call corporate to get it straightened out. It delayed our move by 2 hours.

They would not honor the contract they said they don't take trucks they don't rent. They tried to get me to call uhaul. I refuse, I insisted they call. After they called they then took the truck. I never thought a uhaul dealer would not be customer service oriented. I am going to check next time before I do a one way long distance rental.

When I returned the vehicle they didnt want to deal with me. The girl at the register apparently didnt know how to do it or wasnt authorized to do it and called on someone else to help. She yelled out " This lady is dropping off Uhaul and doesnt want the reciept emailed and wants to wait" The lady responded well she will have to wait I will be with her in a little bit! I returned the vehicle with the same amount of gas that I picked it up at, it was not all the way on F and now I am being charged 11.25 for fuel? I have a reciept and thats the reason I wanted to wait for a reciept. I couldn't wait 20 plus minutes.

This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. You switched the type of truck, the location, the moving time and the drop off time on me within a few days prior to my move. Not only that but getting the keys out of the lock box was a nightmare. Because you downsized the truck I was able to use (after specifically requesting a 15 foot truck) my roomate and I were forced to take multiple trips almost missing our move in time and date. Not to mention your phone service sucks. Every time I called it it would take at a minimum 25 minutes to get an agent on the line. I will never be using UHaul again, you are an atrocious company that I couldn't recommend LESS to any friends and family of mine.

I picked the 15 ft truck around 4 pm, and was suppose to bring it back next day by 4 pm, since rental is 24 hours. After 24 hours by 4 pm of next day I got charged for 2 days double.

This is a difficult time for everyone. People are trying to be as safe as possible. There was no structure in this facility. Employees weren't respecting 6ft social distancing. They were constantly taking off their masks. My igual was dirty and dusty. It wasn't clean when I got in. Clearly the staff wasn't interested in keeping a customer.

I first went to JC Printing works and was told all of a sudden I needed to drive 30 mins south (out of my way) to pick up this UHAUL truck at Show Flooring. They took forever to find the keys for the truck and had difficulties checking me out. They told me I needed to drop it off same day when I had a reservation for 24 hours. Then when dropping it off the next day (early), I was greeted by the same people who checked me out to begin with. They acted clueless that I was dropping off a truck even though they helped me out the previous day. Had to wait even longer just to drop off the truck. Overall horrible experience with UHAUL

They gave me a hard time over my reservation guarantee credit and even tho after I rented a truck and returned it way earlier than the day it was supposed to be returned . They charged me 3 more days than what I was reserving. They charged me for extra gas also even tho it was returned the same way I took it .Called to get the money back . They said they have to file a ticket first which will take 3 days. I don't know why I have to wait for 3 days to get my money back . Horrible experience

first truck we were given did not have the amount of gas that it said when we signed the contract so then we had to wait another 20 minutes while they changed us to a different truck. Also, the return process online was not working, so I had to call and I was on hold for over 30 minutes just waiting to speak to someone to help me return the truck.

Entering the facility and requesting the rental, I was told they vans were not running and there was no Uhaul vehicles available for rent. When I mentioned I had a confirmation from the day before, I was then given the Uhaul rental with no problems. Strange.

First, I got overcharged by about $60. I got the money refunded right away, but had to bring this to UHaul attention. I passed through tolls without a transponder. I paid my missed tolls directly to Illinois Tollways, but UHaul kept on putting extra unauthorized charges on my credit card for the missed tolls.

First of all, I want to say that I have rented from U-Haul on mulitiple ocassions and never before had any problems. This was a terrible experience! The van was very dirty (both cab & cargo area) and there was a light in the cargo area dangling from the ceiling. The fuel tank was nearly empty at pickup (probably about a 1/16 full and there were no pads provided, although I paid for them. When I returned the vehicle, there was no apology and was asked if I felt entitled to a clean vehicle and good service. Very rude and uncaring. They said there was nothing they could do and were very aggravated that I suggested they could do better. I feel I should be reimbursed for what was not provided and receive a significantly discounted price. I would think U-Haul would not want their customer's treated in this manner. I expect a prompt reply!!

Was supposed to pick up truck at another location and have moving pads and hand carts did not get either and yet I had to pay for them am dissatisfied with U-haul.

the whole rental experience was a complete disaster. I requested the rental for 0800, i was sent a text with the location and time for 0900, not a big deal. The confirmation phone number was not in service, the location was closed and i was unable to rent. U-haul sent me to a second location and the person there was unable to rent to me. I was told i'd have to wait 1-1.5 hours for someone to come in and complete my reservation. Call U-haul again, they were going to send me back to the first location, I said i was already there and then they transferred me to someone else. This person got on the phone and again said my equipment was available at the first location. Obviously there's a lack of communication in your customer service, wether it be with the lack of notes taken on my complaint or not telling the other what's wrong or what they have done to correct the mistake thus far. But i digress. so this person then told me equipment was available at the second location, again lack of communication for customer service. I got frustrated and the "customer service" rep hung up on me. Called back, while driving back to the first location, this rep said my equipment was at the first location but they didn't open until 1000. This should have been expressed in the initial reservation. Kept the service rep on the phone while i went in to retrieve my rental, and the location said they were unable to rent, that the person that could sign out the vehicle will be there in an hour. Unacceptable! I then told the U-haul rep to put their supervisor on the phone. Some guy got on the phone, i asked if he was a supervisor, he said no. So your customer service department doesn't care about my concerns and just passes me from one peon to another. Then i had to repeat my story to him as well. Again lack of communication in the customer service department. Whoever transfers me to another rep should tell the rep the issue and what they have done so far to achieve a resolution. This rep was the most helpful. He said he'd call me back in three minutes. He did and said there was a truck available in Franklin park (20 minutes away), that the store was open and that he confirmed with the place that someone was there to complete my transaction. I didn't retrieve the truck till almost 1100, got back to my location and began to load the truck till 1130, 3.5 hours after i initially requested to have the vehicle available. I wasted my entire morning, and the time that family and friends were taking away from their families and jobs to assist me. I was exacerbated by the entire process and will not rent from U-haul again unless it is an emergency. I will let everyone i know to pay the little extra and rent from a different company, that the ease of renting and the customer service can't be any worse than the failure of a guarantee your company promised.

My google maps loaded the location in the wrong place, and when I called to figure out where I needed to be the manager was very nice and gave helpful landmarks to locate them. He was also very pleasant to work with when we were filling out the forms to use the truck. He seems to be a very patient person. Thank you!

MAKE CERTAIN THAT WHEN YOU CHANGE A PICKUP LOCATION, YOU INFORM THE CUSTOMER IN THEIR PREFERRED CONTACT FORMAT BEFORE THE PICKUP DATE. I was not informed that my pickup location was changed before the date of my pickup. I was very dissatisfied with that service (that was not this location on Mannheim, the pickup was changed to this place).

My first location drop off told us to bring the uhaul here because he didn't have room. He had one currently parked and it seemed there was room for one more. I ended up being on hold with customer service for about 30 min before I had everything modified. Today I received a notice of an $8 charge for gas even though we filled it up....I still have the receipt showing this as well.

I wanted to pick up the truck near my home.(5 minutes away at my preferred location.I never asked to pick up at the Franklin Park location.I was told I'd be called the night before and it never happened.When I looked at my confirmation e mail it showed the truck was to be back by The 14th of September. I still can't figure out how many days I should have the truck when renting a one way trip from Chicago to Hot Springs Village AR. I had to make several calls to U Haul,at least 6 times and it still didn't go as smooth as it should. The last one I was told the Franklin pk. location would be open at 7 or 8 am so I got there early only to find out they opened at 9

Excellent truck compared to some of the trucks I've rented in the past with front ends so loose it was near impossible to stay on the road. The rental site could use a little larger uhaul sign.

The overall experience was good. The first day I could not rent because the worker did not know how to use the system. I was disappointed in the bill because I got charge an extra day for bringing in the key 40 minutes late. Most of the 40 minutes was used to gas up the rental and clean it out while I was on the premises. The worker kind of ignored the situation of the bill.

The guy at the desk seemed to have no clue what he was doing. He could not find my on-line reservation, and put in a whole new order. He initially overcharged me, but did make the correct price adjustment. The paperwork he gave me showed the truck had half a tank of gas, when in fact it only had a quarter tank. I only rented a utility dolly, but he put in the paperwork that I rented both a utility and appliance dolly. The truck had not been swept out from previous use.
