I booked my van online on uhaul.com and I downloaded the app as well for what I imagined to be an easy pickup. I arrived at the location - which is essentially an old garage to be greeted by an attendant who said there were no UHaul vehicles and that the system did that often. I went into thier office to talk to their admin who said someone else had rented the van and that there was nothing they could do for me. She asked me to call you to resolve. I am thoroughly disappointed and unhappy about my UHaul experience. I will likely never rent from UHaul again.JOHN L.

The office was closed when I went to pick up the van. It took me 2 1/2 hours to get a van. There were other people having the same problem. No one was there to help, I just had to talk to someone on the phone that kept saying he was on his way. Luckily, one of the guys at the mechanic shop that they share space with spoke English and was helpful. I didn't get the dolly that I had requested and I have to pay my movers for an hour while they waited for me to get the van. When I brought the van back, the guy in charge didn't even seem to care. It made the move more stressful. I never had an experience with UHaul like that and I have used them a lot. If someone isn't able to be in the office to run things, there should be a backup plan to take care of the customers. This is specific to just that one location.Suzanne B.

After having hard time to find parking after receiving a txt message to call if I'm returning the van late and I call several times no one answer I had no choice I oro the van on the side walk get to find out I'm responsible for the towing of the van!! I don't think it's fairHakeem T.

I was told they come in the morning at 8am by their secretary to retieve their vans and i can just parked on the street and drop the key in the dropbox with a note where the van is. After i finish the move i parked in a space that i had to move by 8am. Instead of leaving the van i pulled it in front of the location in which no one show up until 8:40am had i listen to them i would had a parking ticket. When they did finally show up they refused to take the van and told me to go find parking... I couldn t leave the van in front of the location driveway. This sparked a heated debate to the point I dropped the key in the mailbox and walked off with the van in their street driveway in front of the location... When i realzed they dont care about their customers getting parking tickets with their own bad infomation. i said let me go back and record the drop off. When i came back i ran into the owner of the truckshop telling him how i was given bad infom and i would responsible for the parking ticket. He waved me off telling me he didn't want to hear it and today aint the day. Then he told me dont even come in the store and to leave. when I expressed my displeasure in how they running their busines he told me I could now step inside the truckshop out of the view of the cameras to fight. I asked for the key to record the dropoff so i could go. Instead of this guy saying sure go with my guy while he check it out he told me i'm not getting nothing and told his employee dont talk to him or give me nothing. I'm fussing back and forth with this guy when he could of just properly correctly and professionally check the van in. He was talking to me like i'm one of his employees or homeboys in a rude and dismissal way and at the same time deniying a simple service of closing out the contract professionaly and properly. then he told one of his employees to go park the van when i ask to record the gas and maileage he denied me in a hostile ghetto way. I was done walked off and called customer service in which i couldnt get through. later i recieve an email being charge for gas when i stopped at a gas station that might after the move and prior to turning the van back in and charged for gas and an extra mile. This was another insult and bad expereince from that truckshop location. the whole situation was upsetting to me doing everything right returning a vehicle early, a little extra gas in the tank, and aviolding ticketing only to be treated less than a person and customer. So I called customer service and explained the situation and they listen understood and credited me back the despiteful charge and move on this shop onwer at this location. I really appreciated what the U-haul customer service agent lady did and i felt appreciated.. Maybe the stop owner U-haul dealer was having a bad day but i didn't deserve the unprofressional abuse... More than anything even my own feelings on the matter is that they need to clean up their act in the way how tLavien S.

The passenger side rearview mirror on the van was loosely fastened to the vehicle. During my trip it fell off on it's own into a busy street and I was unable to retrieve it. Because I do not have photos of the incident I am being charged 150.00. Managerial departments have not returned my requests for a resolution.Christopher G.

NIGHTMARE! BEWARE this location will hit you with all kinds of fees. 1. i declined insurance at the reservation but they added it to my bill. 2. i rented a dolly which wasn't in the van but was charged for. 3. no one showed up for work at noon on a saturday when i returned my van. 4. they said i was responsible for a parking ticket 3 days after my return date.Robert H.
The vehicle was not completely clean, and the windshield wiper fluid light came on stating that the fluid needed to be replaced. I was only driving within a 3 miles radius so I let it be, but this should not occur when you pick up a vehicle it should have all fluids checked prior to the rental. I also returned this vehicle 1.5 hours prior to the time that it was due to be returned, but apparently they make a regular practice of overcharging as I was charged for an extra day of rental and CDW. I had to make 3 follow up phone calls and send an email to dispute the charges and request a refund of the extra amount charged to my credit card. I will also say that it is extremely hard to find a place to park these trucks when you return the vehicle. Make sure that you get there 2 hours ahead of time to find a spot and also insist on going into the office to close out your bill so you don't have to go through what I just experienced. The Reviews really describe how difficult it is to rent from this place. I will only use this rental car place when I am in a crunch and when I am sure I will return the car 3 hours in advance next time. Also I will try to do this on Fridays only because parking is better on Fridqys on Nostrand Ave across Myrtle Ave. just don't be in a hurry, take your time and insist on signing for your final charges to o avoid hassle.Audrey C.

No parking lot to pick up or drop off from. You have to find the vechile within a mile radius of the location on the streets. Pick and drop off is a major hassle. Would not recommend.Isaac C.

The location was a little confusing to find at first. There is a U-Haul sign inside the garage but I would recommend putting one on the exterior of the building. The people working at this location were really great. I would come back because of the customer service.ADAM PATRICK J.

Service was excellent but infrastructure of returning vehicle and all the hidden fees really sucked. I wish we were emailed the gasoline fillage. Good experience with customer service & the office absolutely, but we will stick with CC Rentals for their convenience, upfront insurance, actually infinitely better mileage, a gasoline fee that doesn't murder us, and 24/7 customer service or at least 24/7 parking and returns. But it was fun trying out you, UHaul.Cole C.
Waited an hour past my appointment start time for the van to be found, had to stand on the side of the street waiting for an hour. Having to be responsible to find parking for the drop off is a huge hassle. Not having un understanding of the final total cost sucks. There should be a flat rate option. NEVER use U haul again! NYC 666 Washington Ave. Brooklyn U-Haul absolutely horrible, a dump. Horrible experience. Maybe some native English speakers could help? A customer puts in a pick up location, because that is where they PAY to have the vehicle for convenience sake. Not "Oh by the way, we have your truck across town..." Lost almost 3 hours of job time. My problem is not with the location, but with the UHAUL self checkout system in general. There are no clear instructions to the process steps in picking up and returning the vehicle. These steps are explained in the app as you go through them one by one in the process but there is no info for you to be prepared properly ahead of time. In my case specifically, I had brought my car back to the location, only to see that there was no legal parking space available for the car. I was not informed on what to do in such a situation so I had to call UHAUL and spent 15-20 min on phone to get an answer on what should be done. After that phone call was done, I attempted to check the vehicle out in the application. There must have been some kind of error in the app and every time I attempted to check out, after one of the steps, it would return me to the home screen after pressing continue. After 10-15 min of unsuccessful attempts I called UHAUL back to find out how I can properly return the car. I had to wait around 15 min to talk to someone one and an additional 10-15 to come up with a solution with was to just leave the car there. The whole process took me over 45 min of sitting in the parked car trying to figure out how to return it. Where in the end the right answer was just to leave it, with I could have just done myself in the first place. This could have been avoidable had I been given the proper instructions and info ahead of time.Jonah S.

Equipment was not clean. Fuel was nearly empty and when I returned the vehicle with the EXACT same amount I was charged for 1.2 gallons PLUS a $30 service fee DESPITE fueling it with 1.7 gallons after driving only 14 MILES! TERRIBLE AND DESGUSTING WAY TO DO BUSINESS Also most of the staff is incompetent. They dont keep a clear driveway so returning in rush hour traffic was a nightmare. I held up traffic for several minutes as I carefully came into their driveway.JAMES A.
