i had to drive 15 miles to get this truck which was okay but did not like they told me i had to bring it back to that location , another 15 miles , when there were several locations in Jasper very close by that i could have dropped it and then i had it less than 24 hours and they charged me for 2 days rental. Have used Uhaul before but very disappointed in this time.

Give us a refund because we needed a 20ft so we could haul everything in one trip. We had to get another trailer and truck and pay for extra fuel because you did not have the truck at either location we were sent to.

I had the worst time with UHaul and won’t be using them again. I showed up to where i scheduled a pickup and they didn’t inform me they upgraded me from a 10’ to a 26’. I clearly didn’t need all that space because if i did i would have rented it. When i complained the ladies at the location could care less. U-Haul also spelled my name wrong which made it take longer to find my location and put my phone number in wrong. I had to drive 45 miles out of the way (one way) to get a truck. It was horrible. That was 2 hours of wasted time. Because of that i had to move in the rain. My fiancé had to rent a car and hotel to come down and help me move. I was on the phone with U-Haul for literally 2 hours to get more miles added. It was honestly a terrible day on top of the stress of moving.

We were not offered help in hitching the thing up. I was alone and it was rather difficult. Thankfully a Good Samaritan stopped and helped.

I carried the rental back on Sunday and they would not accept it because the owner was not there, so I had to take it back again the next day. The lady on Monday was very helpful. They need a key box so you can take it back and just drop it off. It cost me time from getting my stuff put up.

Make sure you are more knowledgeable on the dates and times of the facilities you send people to! The first place we were sent to was not open at all on Saturdays and we had to travel further to get a Uhaul!

Absolutely nothing. Sid and his crew were outstanding! They went above and beyond their call of duty to get us back on our way! Our car broke down and had to rent a auto transport and van to get back home. He checked on us and made sure we were ok before we got someone to pull us to a safer location. You guys rock!!! Jasper Alabama has some of THE SWEETEST people I’ve ever met!

I had to wait 20 mins on the owner to come back to the store for me to check out and leave. I will never use this drop locatiom again.

Although I only had the vehicle for a total time of 5 hours by the time I returned truck to the Smith Lake Trade Center, I spent a long time getting checked out by the employee there. There was a language barrier and he stayed on the phone speaking a foreign language as he looked over every inch of the truck inside and outside.I felt interrogated. it was a good thing we took the picture of the sidewall and he asked we forward the picture to his phone. Once inside the store he asked for our receipt to log into computer. Again he was on the phone with a foreign speaking individual. We waited for a very long time until he finally said we owed him $2 and some change. I asked why and he said mileage. He said it would charge my credit card. I left without getting my receipt back which has my email address and other personal information. Now he has the cell phone of my son which took the picture that was forwarded to him, he may have my credit card # since it was charged again, and he has my email address and other personal info that may have been on receipt. I'm praying my identity doesn't get stolen. Anyhow, the main complaint is just being detained for such a long time. We've been to other places where we just dropped off the key in a drop box and were on our way. I will go out of my way to avoid this location in the future. Thanks for the opportunity to share my experience. I respect your company and the good name it has.

This is the 2nd time I have made reservations to move my son out of his college apt. and both times when I went to pick up my rental they did not have it and could not get what I reserved. I had to go to another location both times and get equipment I did not reserve. I now believe that I can not trust the uhaul reservation system and will no longer be using your company. I do appreciate you making it right both times but both times I just got lucky that you could find other equipment at another location. Not sure why you have a reservation system at all since in my experience it never works. If hotel reservations worked like Uhaul's I would be afraid to travel anywhere for fear I would have to sleep in my car. Again I appreciate you finding an alternative both times but in the future I just can't take the risk of not having my reservation ready and not being able to find an alternative.

This experience with Uhaul was ridiculous. I have rented with Uhaul for years and have never had such a bad experience. I rented online, had a contract number, even checked in. Got to the location for pickup and had to wait for an hour for the man to re-do everything, stating that he couldn't look up my contract. It took him an hour to fill out the paperwork, putting the information in incorrectly time after time to drive the price up. Then arguing when I stated what the price was supposed to be and showing him where he's made his mistake. After finally getting the information in correctly, he wouldn't help to hook it up, expecting us to do it ourselves. Then telling us To go buy a smaller hitch because ours wouldn't fit. He walked away and I hooked it up myself. Then after asking for an inspection, which is expected, he slapped stickers on all the pre-existing scratches without writing them up. While returning today, I had to wait 45 minutes for him to show up, do no inspection, and hand me a printout. Absurd.
