JOHN TThings started out a little rough. I called the initial pick-up locaiton and everything was confirmed and then landed in Ann Arbor the next day to a phone call saying my location and truck size had changed. The new location was pretty remote and cell service was spotty. Took about 30 minutes to get the truck. Once all that was taken care of the truck was great and the drop-off was just fine. Lauren CI had to wait 45 minutes for someone to show up with the keys, even though there were self pickup lock boxes. The truck was brand new, with 450 miles on it. When I went to check out on the website, it showed 300 miles on the truck and would not let me change it, causing a charge of 150 extra miles. Also, the check engine light was on, despite it being a brand new truck - so I was worried the whole time that something would break. Overall not a great experience. I am still trying to get that 150 miles charged back.
Charles HAvoid at all costs. They asked for (supposedly needed) the truck size we had rented so we returned here although we rented from another location. Big mistake! When we arrived at the “store” (an abandoned appearing gas station) no one was around. Exhausted from moving as our movers no-showed we just wanted this done. So tried the courtesy phone - no answer and then left the keys in the drop box. This is where the fun starts! They charged us for miles we did not drive, checked the truck in 26 hours after we returned plus an after hours fee and said we damaged the truck which we did not do. I urge anyone to google these people and their other companies and read all reviews before even considering doing business with them. U-haul needs to dis-associate with them ASAP.
Raymond KAfter hours drop off (5:00 or so). I had a hard time hearing the person over the phone as he gave unclear directions as to where to leave the truck - "just park it at the side, not in the middle of the lot".
