The truck was in perfect condition. The problem was the location. The retail agent is extremely slow. It took two hours to rent the truck. The check in was worst. He wouldn't ckeck the truck in the day I returned it . He said he couldn't do it then , He'd do it later and send me an e-mail. He waited 24 hours before he check it in , then he charged me for gas. We only drove 7 miles and I put gas in it before I returned it. I had used this location before, but it won't ever happen again. Very poor Customer Service.

I had in issue with the back gate opening. It was my fault something had shifted inside and must have blocked the track stopping the door from opening more then 6 inches. I called customer service for advice, they sent me to roadside assistance (I think that's what it was called) they said there was nothing they can do and told me to go to the nearest uhaul center that they are prepared for this and can get the gate up. I drove all the way there adding miles to my bill and they said there was nothing they can do. I realize the problem was not uhauls fault but I feel that after spending 45 minutes on the phone with uhaul being shuffled around and then I got the runaround.

The original trailer we reserved was not available when we went to pick it up in Stuart, FL. That location upgraded us to a larger trailer they were able to find at this Ft. Piece location that I am reviewing. Ft. Pierce Operator refused to assist in hooking up the 5x10 Cargo Trailer siting back problems. My husband couldn't lift it by himself. Husband had to offer strangers at Operators market cash to assist him. Operator also would not break bill, so husband wound up paying 2 "helpers" $20 to help him load trailer. NEVER USE THIS LOCATION. It's more of a pool hall/beer sales than UHaul facility.

My experience at Smitty's Quickstop was beyond disturbing. The owner/employee was extremely rude and disrespectful. As soon as I arrived to the location, before I can even get out of the U-Haul this older gentleman was yelling and cursing at me and my family telling us we are on able to drop off the equipment at his location because he is for. The gentleman then approach me as soon as I got out of the U-Haul and I stated that did not have anywhere else to drop off the equipment he did not care, at one point I thought he may physically assault me. I have my family calling 911 while still in the vehicle since we did not know this gentleman to have a weapon or not. I am not sure what the exact root of his issue was. I made a complaint with customer care which my incident report number can be provided upon request.

the man at the location was super friendly and helpful! although make sure to arrange a ride ahead of time because I needed to call a cab and it was in a remote neighbourhood it took a while to finally get a cab company to respond and agree to arrange a pickup. Maybe the whole area works this way.

Smittys Quick Stop is a corner liquor store in the middle of a very bad neighborhood. The man who was in charge had no idea how to process my returned U-Haul . I am very apprehensive about ever using U-Haul again due to this.

a bigger sign would be helpful - we drove by 3 times until we finally saw the uhaul sign - which when we got there i only saw one trailer and one other truck.

call ahead to let ppl know the uhaul is ready. don't force a bigger truck on someone if you don't have what the customer specifically ordered. You need to do better than that.

I was supposed to pick up my truck in Mt. Airy and had to drive to Clemmons to get it the day before my move. I was supposed to be charged for a 1 day rental instead I was charged $120.00. Part of that was supposed to be credited back to my account and it never was. The gentleman in Clemmons I picked up the truck from had NO idea how to rent out a truck and we ended up on the phone w/ customer service for about 20-30 minutes. It was a horrible experience and I won't be using U-Haul again.

The service guy who hooked he trailer was very courteous and helpful. He doubled checked all the lights, hitch ball and chains. Made sure it was safe to drive. They got my recommendations for all other future renters in my circle. Mohammad Tayyab

Online reservations were ridiculous, place I was told had the truck didn't, I had to scramble to find out where to go and get it. When I got to the place, which wasn't the original one they told me, it took 45 min. to get checked out and on the road. What's the point of online reservations if they ask all kind of questions when you get there and can't get the computer to pull up information.
